Is the grey paint on the mouth lighter than the grey on the decals? I only ask because when I used the tester grey I found that my mouth is some what lighter. In the photos you took they mouth does look like a lighter grey.

It should be the same color - it's either an effect from the lighting or its the fact that the helmet is a little over 30 years old at this point.

 

Also, those aren't decals - they were hand painted on.

on the real helmets, were the black teeth cut out and had a black mess or are the black teeth solid painted plastic like the grey ones?

These are great pics. I always thought there was a trooper in the tantive boarding scene with no brow trim. Its hard to make out freeze framing the dvd but this looks to be the feller, cool :)

Did anyone else notice that hero LFL archive lid has flat lenses? lol

If you're referring to the hero helmet that was as CIV, it actually did'nt have any lenses at all.

that is 100% the hero helmet from the promo ANH pics! I see the same cut marks on the ears. And the exact same painting.
