Good new for troopers in Europe.

While I was at work, my better half had a nice talk with my local post office. I can send to Europe/EU again.

There are some limiations, though.

- NO gloves. (completed or extra) (see exceptions below)

- Just 1 pair of hand guards per . NO combined shipping.

- No padding in the envelope. Shouldn't be a problem; they're flexible. No breaking damage :)

- It's €0.30 cheaper than before

If you really want gloves, I have to use another envelope. I sell them at cost, so they would be

€5 (in store cost) + €3.40 + pp fees + price of the envelope + tip (optional :))

If you really, really want completed hand guards (i.e. glued on) I have to send them as a parcel.

+ €2 for the offical, standardisized box + € 13.60 postage

I can mail up to 1 kg for this fare, which equals about 4-6 completed hand guards. each additional kg costs just €1

This I perfect for garrison group orders

I know this seems complicated, trying to refine it a bit

I hope this works for you.

I'm sitting on a big pile of latex hand guards and have a gallon of white rubber comming.

Karin..PM me about the Canadian distributor need

Posted (edited)

Can you use DHL or another company onstead of the standard post?

Buy me a plane ticket and i will smuggle all the sets i can carry or conceal

Though if mike could distribute in the US that would be preferable since i dont really want to get cavity searched.

Will,

I'll send you a PM later!

Julie,

DHL is even more expensive

So great news for international troopers!

Given the same limitations as for european people, I am able to send international:

Those limitations are:

NO gloves. (completed or extra) (see exceptions below)

- Just 1 pair of hand guards per . NO combined shipping.

- No padding in the envelope. Shouldn't be a problem; they're flexible. No breaking damage :)

- It's 5 cent cheaper than before, i.e € 6.80

If you really want gloves, I have to use another envelope. I sell them at cost, so they would be

€5 (in store cost) + €6.80 + pp fees + price of the envelope + tip (optional :))

If you really, really want completed hand guards (i.e. glued on) I have to send them as a parcel.

This is where a canadien distributor would step in:

I'd ship every 5 (or more) finished and paid orders (=completed guards with gloves) to Canada, already complete adressed and packed. The canadien contact would then just carry them to the post office and mail them

Still have to do the math, but I shouldn't be more than € 1-2 more per hand guards, including a small compensation for the canadien helper.

Disadvantage: you have to wait longer

This is quite complicated now, hopefully I can refine it a little.

I'm going to update my sales thread tomorrow.

Thanks for all your assistence!

So, if you want to order just the hand guards, go ahead!

Noooooooooooooooooooo............. It can't be, Your handguards are awesome Karin....... :icon_bow:

Thanks Mark!

Well, it all comes down to the thickness of the packages. I tried differnt formats and methods, got some quotes.

The good news is, I can now include gloves (again), at no additional postage fees.

The bad news is, I can't glue them on, because then the postage fee skyrockets (strange, I know)

Good to see you will be remaining in production Karin.

Very few members of not only here but the 501st as a whole can be considered to have been key to the raising of standards of any costume, let alone the footsoldier of the empire; the humble TK.

Your contributon has been great, and the fact that it will continue to be so is cause for a celebration indeed.

I for one salute you Ma'am. :salute:

I really think I need to get a set of these. I am told I can find the gloves at Home Depot. If there is a US member that can absolutely confirm this I won't need them. The hand guards I want for sure.

Yeah. I thought I found a good solution.

I went just to the post office with a dozen of packages - and the charged again the freaking DOUBLE postage.

I am really freaking out.

Now I have to refund some of you because including gloves is no longer an option.

Sorry for beeing a drama queen again, but it is really time to quit soon. Too much stress for me.

No worries, I already found two partners which will follow my footsteps.

It is in the packaging again. We are talking here about 1 mm. I went to a different post office and they gave me a completely differnt quote.. Guess I have to repack all pa kages. Again.

Gosh. I REALLY feel tonight's full moon.

I feel you Karin. Take a deep breath and we'll try the best to help you through this postal mess.

Thank you, Mathis.

It is ok now. I just have to repack and shorten the envelopes for 2mm and have to argue with post office persons over every single packages.

Ok. Now I have an announcement to make. I will leave the US "market" in about 2 months. Two talented troopers will supply the US market. They will work with my molds, of course.

I'll still be in charge for Europe and the rest of the world.

Sounds cool, eh? less shipping for you US guys.

More details to come.....
