matt black Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Hi everyone. I had to add a one inch shim to each side of my AB plate on my AP kit. Does this mean I can't be accepted for EIB or Centurion? I added rivets to the knee plate before the centurion level started but thought I could order a new leg and knee plate for when I apply. I believe everything else on my armour would be a pass just not sure about the side shims. Many thanks Rob. Quote
dashrazor Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 shims are fine for all levels. you are allowed a 1/2 " side gap, so either shim the 1" or snug it up a bit to gain the 1/2" . as long as the shim matches the armor in color and material you'll be ok. for EI the rivets are fine, but if you dont want to buy a new leg for centurion just take out the rivet and glue the sniper plate on. after it dries, fill the holes with white putty. my knee is riveted also, i think i will try to putty/paint over the rivet and hide it Quote
matt black Posted April 26, 2011 Author Report Posted April 26, 2011 Ahhhh got ya. Thanks Mason. When it said side gap I thought it meant even with a shim. I should be O.K then. I used 1mm ABS. Thanks for your continued help. Rob. Quote
Tray[TK] Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Sorry, where do we see any photos that have the sniper plate or thigh belt glued to the armor? Quote

TK bondservnt[501st] Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 I have seen a bolt on the thigh on the sci-man armor. started out as a sandy and was reconditioned for DS scenes. Quote
geordietrooper Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 started out as a sandy and was reconditioned for DS scenes where did this info come from ? Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 from photos shown on the RPF. Quote
geordietrooper Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 as far as im aware only the holster has been identified on screen not the armour Quote
