Forgive me if this has been discussed before, I've done searches but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm trying to attach my holster (ANH Stunt Style) and I really want to make my holster removable for easier storage. But, I'm having a problem finding something that is long enough to reach thru the leather, canvas and plastic of my belt. My normal snaps are not long enough to reach through all of that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

chicago screws come in a variety of sizes, but you could replace the back screw with a longer one if needed to get through your belt.

what about chicago screws?

I got mine from a supplier here in canada. Spaenaur. http://www.spaenaur.com/pdf/sectionC/C70.pdf

But If you want I can mail you some. Ive got 100 and only needed like 4. 2 on my belt and 2 on the holster lol. Or a local hardware shop might have them.

I attached a male snap on the inside of the belt with a poprivet. Just holt the snap over the rivet before you use the rivet tool to pop the rivet. If you use the right size of rivet it will hold the snap real tight and good.

Did some shopping today and I couldn't find any place that even knew what a chicago screw was, but I think I found something that was close.

Found this in the scrapbooking section at JoAnn Fabrics, $1.99 gets you a pack of 4 (sorry for the blurry pic)

Drilled out my rivets and replaced them with the screws. I'm hoping that the old holes wont be anything that would hold me back for EIB. I still hope to have that this year.

I tried that, but none of my rivets were the right size, either too big or too small to fit thru the snap.

Use chicago screws. They look like rivets but arn't permanent. That's what I used on my holster and it had plenty of length to go through the leather and a canvas belt with a layer of plastic inside.
