Pouches Strapping

Hey there, I'm on the road to my 2nd EIB (HWT) and I've got some small questions:

Is this type of pouch the correct one for HWT? (if it is, i need to dye it black):

 

 

Or this one?:

 

 

For my belt, i used white straps and glued them to the pouch with e6000:

 

 

i can just slide the pouches in the belt

 

 

 

I'm not sure if this is the proper way of holding it in place, but works for me

 

 

 

and also, this 'excess' leather, do i need to cut this or do I leave it there?

 

 

 

if you have any tips on how to make my strapping better, tips will be appreciated

The easiest way to mount your shoulder pouch is attaching it to your pack strap.

I will send you a picture or two of how I did mine.

If you are building a TD, dont cut it off. That little strap and d rings is on the screen used one.

For a HWT I guess it is a mater of likes.

Juan, like i said in the other post and PM's canvas is fine. you might want to dye them all black as well. it will look a lot better without the white thread showing IMO

 

and if going for centurion you'll need to remove the 4th pouch on the side

I cut the strap with the ring off of mine, looks better IMO.

Instead of cutting it, i'm going to see if I find a way that i can remove the sewing without harming the 'excess' leather, in case i need it for something else

 

EDIT: Mason, when you mentioned that i need to dye the pouches with black, did mentioned it so the white strapping i glued on the pouches is not visible? If that's so, i can always remove it and use some black strapping i have around. I glued the white straps with the purpose that the strapping i'm using won't be much visible to the public, since it's white and the armor is white
