dashrazor Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 i cranked this one out in an afternoon, i needed a new one fast for an event Friday i just went crazy with the glue gun and threw a ton of greeblies on.. its got parts from a laptop, PlayStation, xerox machine.. and air conditioner it has super lound sound, lights, a laser pointer/spotlight and illuminated scope..... but i pretty near destroyed my workshop in the process i miss my old one, but this one will do for now Quote
bluehickey Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Incredible, I especially love all the small details. You should seriously consider making these types of props en mass and sell them on the legion boards! Quote
snoopy trooper[TK] Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 (edited) what kinda gun did you start out with ? or is it all from scratch? Edited April 6, 2011 by snoopy trooper Quote
dashrazor Posted April 6, 2011 Author Report Posted April 6, 2011 normally i use airsoft but i didnt have time to order one, so i used some no name space pistol from Kmart it was the only one that had a grown up size handle (only the handle/trigger section) the stock and barrel are all scratchbuilt, then about 100 glue-sticks later i had a flamethrower Quote
JKCHEN Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 I'm speechless...........Mason, you' a crazy genius!!! Quote
Wiggleplum Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 (edited) Looks great! I hope to start on mine this weekend. I hope you don't mind if I use some pics of all your flamethrower builds for ideas and reference. If you don't mind me asking, what do you use as the "tube"? What I saw at Lowe's was some pretty thick PVC, and it has me worried about weight. Thanks Edited April 6, 2011 by Wiggleplum Quote
NoVATie[Admin] Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 I wonder if you could cast that Mason and be able to duplicate the greeblie work on other weapons. Quote

You don't want the regular PVC as it is too thick and heavy. Ask someone for the thin walled stuff. You may have to buy a 10 or 12 ft section though. Quote

dashrazor Posted April 6, 2011 Author Report Posted April 6, 2011 i used 3" thin walled PVC, but the thick stuff looks better IMO and you cut away about half the bulk.. but it requires a more heavy duty base weapon Quote
Pyro[TK] Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Wow looks great Have fun at the con bro Quote
stevechewbacca[501st] Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 Great as always Mason !! I take the opportunity of this topic to ask you guys if you saw that the EIB/Centurion Poll is open for vote for detachement members ? ^^ Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted April 6, 2011 Report Posted April 6, 2011 You should do this for a living Mason - that's pretty intense and the details really make it pop! Hope you have a great time at your troop Quote
HeyItsAdam[TK] Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 If this was a "speed" build, I'd like to see what you could if you took your time. Sweet MARIA.... Quote

I looked at their web site and there are literally 25 pages of similar looking weapons. Quote
TK5492[TK] Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I believe Mason is still engaged in some personal issues that prevent him from currently frequenting these boards. (someone please correct me if I am wrong here) However, there may be some threads explaining this in better detail. Especially check the Incinerator section. BTW, I am originally from Ocala, welcome to the FISD fellow Floridian. Quote
TK Keith[TK] Posted October 19, 2012 Report Posted October 19, 2012 That's crazy/incredible! I don't really know what else to say. Wow! Quote
Teach Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 I've said it once... I'll say it again... the talent on FISD is amazing. Imagine what we could do if we could harness all this talent! Quote
