Hawkeye[501st] Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Hi Guys Pic was taken during recent troop. Please can you have a look and advice what i can do to make it look better. I was told the chest plate is a big, so i will work on that using Pandatroopers threads. Please let me know if there anything else. Quote
ObiHahn[TK] Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 First things first: lose the silly pauldron. Or do a proper sandtrooper. Plain clean white TKs with pauldrons are still not my thing, personally. Never got why people go for that... On a more constructive note: shorten the drop box straps, with no visible material between plastic belt front and boxes. An find a way so your bicep parts stay in place and don't turn like they do in those pics. Nice, clean build otherwise! Quote
NoVATie[Admin] Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Looks like you have a wire hanging down under your chest plate too. Quote
Hawkeye[501st] Posted March 23, 2011 Author Report Posted March 23, 2011 Looks like you have a wire hanging down under your chest plate too. Thanks mate. Thats my Microphone in the helmet. I can tuck in my undersuit. I am looking at the armor to make it look better! i look bulky here wont you say?lol Quote
TrooperVenger Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 The chest does appear to be big. Maybe heat it up and bring it in a bit? Shorten the drop box elastics a tad. The pauldron....err. Up to you if you wanna keep it or not. I personaly wouldn't wear one unless I was a sandy. Put the mic wire under your armour, it'll look alot better. Apart from some very minor mods, you have a nice looking suit there. Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Also, replace the AM handplates with a set of Karin's handplates. Quote
Hawkeye[501st] Posted March 23, 2011 Author Report Posted March 23, 2011 Thanks you guys!! I will shorten the drop box, and work on the Chest. As for the pauldron...hmmm...maybe not always! I have Karin handplates and on a rubber glove but it was so hot....i think i would have melted them! or rather sweaty palms. Thanks for all your advice. I will take them and get working Quote
FIVE[501st] Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Yeah... ditch the pauldron would be the main thing. Quote
ctankep Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 I agree with Bluey, that pauldron man... Quote
iconoclasta_88[501st] Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Start by adding sand!! Then there is a list of mods to do to become a TD!! LOL!! No, I will let the TK experts assist you and will shut my mouth. Saludos Quote

TK-4510[501st] Posted March 23, 2011 Report Posted March 23, 2011 Maybe an AP, TM or ATA chest plate? Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 An RT Mod chestplate also works well, and if you go that route you might as well swap out the upper back and shoulder bridges as well: Also, swap the shins - move the sniper plate to the other shin and wear it on the left leg as you normally would. It'll look and feel more natural. Quote
Hawkeye[501st] Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) Would i need to cut alot if i go AP,ATA chest plate? I will keep the pauldron for future TD!.... Thanks guys! thanks a million Edited March 24, 2011 by Hawkeye Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 Aside for some rough trimming and sanding, I imagine you wouldn't need to cut either down at all. Quote
Hawkeye[501st] Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 Coolio! thanks mate i am only 170cm in height! Quote
Hawkeye[501st] Posted March 29, 2011 Author Report Posted March 29, 2011 Maybe an AP, TM or ATA chest plate? Hi Mike and All With ATA would i need to paint it? My whole armor is AM FX, but if get the ATA, would i need to paint it. I assume so? What is your humble advice?thanks If paint, would Rustoleum white gloss the way to go? Quote
Darth Hilarious Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 You might not need to paint an ATA- they've just recently started offering ABS kits! Quote
TK-4510[501st] Posted March 29, 2011 Report Posted March 29, 2011 Thats what I was thinking too. Quote
Hawkeye[501st] Posted March 30, 2011 Author Report Posted March 30, 2011 Hopefully, i checked with ATA, and its a bit creamy then AM, so...i will order and wait and see. Will update when i get it. Quote
