Leandra Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 I'm really new to armor so I have no idea where I would acquire a blaster. I am hoping to work towards EIB with my armor, so need to find out where I could get an appropriate blaster. I'm not really the best at making things like that (boffer weapons I can do, blasters not so much.) Any help that can be offered on where to go to get one would be great. Thank you. PS. I'm not sure if this is even where I should of posted this, so if it needs to be moved go ahead. Quote
Sonnenschein Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 (edited) The cheapest way is to get an Hasbro blaster and a doopy doos kit. Or get a PVC pipe and the doopy kit and make it yourself. Doopy sells finished blaster aswell, as does Vern (TKbondservnt) here on the board. I'm sure there are other makers here too, which surely will chime in. Edited March 18, 2011 by Sonnenschein Quote
DarkTrooper[TK] Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 FYI, doopy doos sells kits on ebay. I've bought twice from them. Good quality, fast shipping. Quote
FIVE[501st] Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 And if you're going from EIB to Centurion one day keep in mind Hasbro blasters aren't accepted for Centurion. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 SciFire also offers hyperfirm weapons for about $225 or so that you need do nothing with at all. They will work for EI and most all Centurions even. Quote
Leandra Posted March 18, 2011 Author Report Posted March 18, 2011 looked at the doopy doos site, found a blaster I liked. But it was $144 for shipping Quote

BananoPower22[TK] Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 (edited) Try also contacting Vern. Excellent service from him and fast shipping too Edited March 18, 2011 by BananoPower22 Quote
TrooperVenger Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 (edited) If you want the cheaper option, go with the hasbro mod. That's what I did. Edited March 18, 2011 by TrooperVenger Quote
Leandra Posted March 19, 2011 Author Report Posted March 19, 2011 I am trying to avoid a hasbro one, or I would cannibalize my son's blasters. He has a nice collection of toy blasters for a 4 year old. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted March 19, 2011 Report Posted March 19, 2011 (edited) I have the old doopy do's kit on hand and ready to build. metal sight rail, metal power cells on the mag well. metal D ring. heavy grade PVC tube and tapered T Tracks actually bent into holes. ------------ Edited July 31, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
