runewolf Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) Just need some trimming to be able to bend knees easier and some foam in the fore arm. ------- Wish me luck! Edited January 26, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
TrooperTim Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Good luck. Looks great. To nit pick, I think the belt should be shifted up more in the front. It looks to hang a bit too far down. Quote
geordietrooper Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) looks like your hand plates are on the wrong hands Edited March 2, 2011 by geordietrooper Quote
TK-6162[501st] Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) Best of luck.. looks good! But defiantly bring your belt up, and are your hand plates on the wrong hands? Might want to double check? Edited March 2, 2011 by TK-6162 Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 In addition to bringing up the belt and swapping the handguards, it would be good to reduce the width of the shoulder straps running across the biceps - they are too thick. 1" thickness should be the proper width. None of this small stuff should stand in the way of 501st acceptance, though. You've built a good-looking kit. Quote
runewolf Posted March 2, 2011 Author Report Posted March 2, 2011 Thanks guys! The handplates are what came with my ATA kit and will be changed out when I can. I have to get non-latex ones though, the wife is allergic. I thought the belt felt low when I put the armor on, but didn't have anyone who had squired before to help out suiting. This is the first time the photographer had been this close to someone in TK armor lol! Quote
geordietrooper Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 Thanks guys! The handplates are what came with my ATA kit and will be changed out when I can hand plates are fine but you have put them on the wrong hands in your pics like i said earlier ^^ Quote
runewolf Posted March 2, 2011 Author Report Posted March 2, 2011 Ah, sorry Rob misread lol. I have to attach them better to the Nomax gloves tonight so I'll switch them, thank you! Quote
geordietrooper Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 no worries allen & your welcome Quote

Locitus[Admin] Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 They funny thing with using the above picture as reference (the one with handguards on the wrong side) is that the trooper behind him him has them correctly, yet nobody that does this mistake, notice that. Quote

Yep I looked at that and slapped my head! Oh well that is why they were attached with velcro, so they could be changed or replaced! Quote
