tmcp51d Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 My first helmet was an FX type hero helmet...way to large. I have since done a stunt for my EIB but wanted to build another Hero. Can the kits IE. VT,AP....or others be made into a hero by just finishing the frown w 3 teeth instead of four? If not who has a hero kit to offer...all I seem to find are stunts? Thanks, TMC Quote
FIVE[501st] Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Yes... it's how you assemble and finish the helmet that makes it hero or stunt. Quote
NoVATie[Admin] Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 I believe TM offers hero helmets. Otherwise I would fill in the necessary teeth to get the frown right on a stunt. Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 I think the best hero make is TM, though the price is higher than others. The other screen-derived helmets (AP/ATA/TE2, etc.) can all be made in to a hero form. TK-4510 did a great tutorial on it. It definately takes some work though. AP or T/MC would be easiest to convert as the cap/back are already smoothed for you, whereas ATA/TE2/CAP-W still retain the bumpy cap/back, which will take time to fill, sand, etc. Quote
john danter Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 There's also a chap in the UK who sells GF hero lids Will let you know when mine arrives TM lids are great though yes Quote
