Now that I am back working on everything again, what is the prevailing thoughts for the front and back. Should I attempt making a recess and placing some plexi-glass or similar material in?

Some people leave the front black (assuming you paint it black) and put a sticker or printout of the many scope crosshairs available. Tkdueno did a cool mod where he used a round cut out from a CD for the mirror effect. You can ad a transparent reticule by printing out the crosshair onto transparency material or add a round domed plastic gem from a craft store on top.

Hi Kirby. I have just been experimenting with the resin scopes. I have lots of see thru stones and sticky backes round lenses. I have also printed out some crosshaires that were very kindly provided for me by a wonderful member here. If you would like some of these, I will gladly send you some for no charge.

All the best,

Rob.

Check here for glass buttons.

I saw someone had sticky plastic domes that looked magical inside a scope.

They're slightly domed, clear and have a sticky backing. I can't remember the name sadly. YOu'll find them in craft shops I'm sure

I drilled mine out, and used a glass lens from a flashlight. Turned out pretty good :)
