Proposal for PM funktion

At first the preliminary events leading up to my proposal:

Some time ago I`ve started a conversation with a member here on the bord. Recently I`v made an reply to this conversation but he didn`t answer. So I`ve tried it some times more with the same result. I started to wonder and worry until it occured to me that he might have already deleted our conversation. In fact in the field „Participants“ it says „Has left the conversation“.

 

And that means that he will no longer receive my replies. Right?

 

So my proposal would be:

Wouldn`t it be technically be able that the system doesn`t allow any replies to conversations that your dialog partner has already deleted at all? Or maybe a pop-up could appear informing you about this fact.

 

On the other side maybe I`m the only one not knowing about this case.

I don't know about that feature, but what if you start a new "conversation" with a PM directly to the member instead of replying in your previous message chain?

Of course, you are absolutely right, that`s a way to get in contact again.

 

Just wanted to point out this specific "problem" when the reply-option doesn`t work any more.

I think this is because your "conversation partner" just deleted the conversation on his side.
