I just finished modding this little baby, and although I was hoping to take some decent pics, I forgot to bring my girlfriend's camera with me, so I was stuck to using my old craptastic digicam... read: Sorry for the crappy pics.

But here they are. I have another one of those babies here waiting for ObiHahn, so you guys can see what I've done to mine, but here's a quick rundown:

Alterations:

- removed the paint of the trigger mechanism

- redid the scope rail to sit lower and go straight into the first barrel hole

Additions:

- added the power cylinders (included with the blaster, but not installed)

- real metal Hengstler with Eagle (slapped it on with glue, screen accuracy ftw!)

- T-tracks from Saberfreak

So here's some pics:

Here's a few differences to a real Sterling:

- weighs only 1.5kg roughly (that's a third of a real Sterling)

- the main barrel is 2mm too thin in diameter

- no writings on the mag receiver

- mag receiver and mag aren't conical

- end cap slightly different

- it doesn't shoot!

These are done in small runs of 5 blasters, these were part of the first run, there's a second planned right now with I think 2 blasters spoken for, if anyone's interested, PM me, I can hook you up!

Any chance one of these can be shipped to the U.S. - and not be confisgated by U.S. Customs?

I don't know about your gun laws - it's a non firing replica that cannot be made to fire, should be fine, no?

Looking good, Dan!

Makes me want to build mine up. I have had a real Sterling for the best part of a year sat in bag doing nothing, and I have another bag with a real Hengstler and tank scope sat next to it :D

Where did you get the power cylinders from?

As I said they were included. Remember we talked about it a while ago via PM?

I will hook you up with Jörg and you guys can talk about a deal, I know he wants to order an armour kit from you sometime soon anyway :)

Just have to add one thought:

I'm so glad that the unaltered one in Dan's pics is my blaster. :)

Can't wait to lay my hands on it, I have a real Hengstler and correct T-track standing by. This is going to be my new favourite toy.

Top notch work Dan, as always!

What's the price for one of these beauties? PM me if you like to keep it off the forums. I'd consider it if the price is right. :)

Cool one.

Some few questions:

-Complete selfbuild?

-Is this a real M 19 scope or a resin copy?

-The cylinders looks like the ones from Russrep, aren't they?

-Where you got the handgrips? Are these real one sor resin copys?

-Does the trigger also working?

I know many questions, but hey these things looks sweet!!

- It's built by one man in his hobby workshop, but not by me

- the scope is an aluminium replica done by the same man

- Cylinders also come from him, he probably used the Russrep ones as reference

- The grip is a cast piece in a special high impact resin, also done by him

- The trigger is moving, the safety switch is working, but you can't fire it (no dry firing either)

About the price, PM on it's way Locitus!

BTW are there any glass pieces in the scopes, or anything at all?

If they are hollow like a pipe it should be quite easy to maybe disassemble it and mount some glass pieces yourself.

Could you PM me a price as well Dan?

+1

If you have an idea of what shipping to the U.S. is, that would be good as well.

They are hollow but have an engraved lense in the "back", and a roundish one in front. It does not actually function, but looks neat. I'll take pics of the lens later when I get back home from university :)

Sounds great. Looking forward to seeing the pictures!

God this looks great. Love the stock, and that you can remove the "bolt", etc.

I'm interested, but concerned. Not about the quality, but the total price to the U.S. As I've imported a computer from Germany before, I know the shipping between our countries is BRUTAL. So even if the gun is "reasonably priced", and it's a real beauty... I'm concerned about how much the shipping would add.

And while I'm a newb, I haven't seen anyone else with this setup available on this side of the pond. So please PM me with the price, etc!!! Thanks man!!! Great looking gun!!! :)
