I took apart my Arai helmet last night for my Republic Commando. Unfortunately, there isn't any usable padding. Just thought I would give the heads up if that's what you have. I only used mine because I wrecked in it. :(

yeah, wound up taking it apart and it doesn't work. although but i did find a headband that keeps the helmet from wobbling our moving around when i turn my head. that'll have to do for now.

Another EZ way is to get a skateboarders/BMX helmet or canoe helmet and use the liner/pads. You can also find just the replacement liner/pads sold separately... Look at your local Sporting Goods / Outdoor Camping store and Bike Shops.

You can find this at some Military surplus / Army Navy stores....or just Google it.....

I do have some of those miltary pads, pulled them out of my dads helmet he brought back when he got home from Iraq, those things (to me) feel very uncomfortable, they feel like cloth covered bricks.

Then if those are not uncomfortable for you, then try the bike/skateboards/canoe helmet pad/ liner.... ;)

I an looking for the hockey helmet liner you used in your stormtrooper helmet.  It has the letters "SR" on the central pad.  What specific brand of hockey helmet is this from?  Thanks.

Hi Peter I doubt you will get a reply as Mason hasn't been on the forums since Feb 2019. This is a thread from 2011 so some items may no longer be available, here are some newer threads on padding

I just bought these ones because I like the look and they seem like they'll be comfy.
