stevechewbacca[501st] Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 Looks great !! I love the weathering Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted March 18, 2011 Author Report Posted March 18, 2011 so I managed to get ahold of some more accurate screws for my helmet, Ā Also, I have some new accurate shoulder bells and an accurate back plate, so I should be posting some shots up of that soon :)May also try to see if I can get my chest piece shaped a bit more accurately, if I can borrow a mates chest armour I've shaped the bottom edge to be accurate, just want to see if I can mod the fx to have that more accurate shape overall. Ā have one shoulder bell all weathered up already too Ā photos at some stage soon Quote
Quartermaster[501st] Posted March 18, 2011 Report Posted March 18, 2011 Looks great Sean. You look like an action figure! Really great job. Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted March 24, 2011 Author Report Posted March 24, 2011 Ok, have an update Ā So I have a new backplate and shoulder bells thanks to MM. I have also hand painted all the details on my helmet (apart from tube stripes) as well as found some accurate screws for the ears. Ā Ā PHOTOS! Ā Ā let me know what you think Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted March 24, 2011 Report Posted March 24, 2011 Absolute aces. You have the king of TKC's right there Quote
DubTrooper Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 I am very jealous. You did an awesome job. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 hmm... amazing! Ā how about the rivets on the belt and the ROTJ thermal det? Ā great work! Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted April 15, 2011 Author Report Posted April 15, 2011 Thanks mate! Ā What does the ROTJ thermal det look like? how is it different from ANH? Ā I'll eventually look into getting an accurate belt, just have to find the right material. Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted April 16, 2011 Author Report Posted April 16, 2011 quick question guys, Ā Ā is this the right stuff for the neck trim? Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted July 20, 2011 Author Report Posted July 20, 2011 hi all, Ā can somebody please clarify what this means (a picture would help) Ā The edges of the hip area should be rounded/curved (not like the straight lines found on the ANH/ESB butt plate). Ā cheers Quote
Krazy Ivan[TK] Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 I think this is what they are talking about see the Back and butt plate corners are rounded ANH are squared off. Ā Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted July 20, 2011 Author Report Posted July 20, 2011 ahh, I see now Ā Thanks! Quote
ZeroRoom[TK] Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 Sean - just wanted to say your build is absolutely inspiring Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted August 20, 2011 Author Report Posted August 20, 2011 Ok guys, time for an update to this thread. Ā I have new shoulderbells, backplate, belt and ammo belt thanks to mm. Also have an accurate width belt thanks to fxguy I also have some s shaped neck trim on my helmet, but I don't think it's the right kind. Ā So, apart from latex handguards I think it's up to centurion standard now... That and an accurate blaster Ā here are some photos of where I'm at now with some generic "approval" photos. Ā Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted August 20, 2011 Author Report Posted August 20, 2011 I also got some studio shots taken aswell. Ā Ā once again, can't forget the unofficial redback salute Ā Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted August 20, 2011 Author Report Posted August 20, 2011 here are the rivets in my belt Ā belt with corners cut at 45 degrees, no middle rivet cover. Ā ammo box glued on in the style of the game. I do have reference, just can't find it at the moment. Ā let me know what you think! Quote
fett 4 real Posted August 20, 2011 Report Posted August 20, 2011 Now you got me second guessing a my airborne clone and wanting to turn my TK project into a TKC great work, love the weathering Quote
seantrooper[TK] Posted August 20, 2011 Author Report Posted August 20, 2011 Flesh out the eyes a little more. Ā could you possibly do up a little diagram showing me how much to trim... I have thought that I could maybe trim them out a little more, just never been quite sure... Ā However, it could just be the weathering, there is very little weathering around the eye 'sockets' so it may give the illusion of being undertrimmed. Quote
TK-7980 Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Ā The areas outlined in red are what I feel are the areas that need to be trimmed a bit more... Ā Compare it to your original picture if my resolution turned to crap during saving editing and reuploading. Quote
TK-7980 Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 The parts you should trim can also be seen in the "action poses" in the 2nd and 3rd to last pictures. Pretty much the unweathered parts. Quote
