Quebectrooper Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Looking at screen references i don't see any overlap and velcro method like we do to attach the belt behind the detonator. Was it attached in the front under the plastic belt? Quote
firebladejedi[TK] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 No the attach at the rear with 2 inch wide velcro just like mine. Quote
firebladejedi[TK] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 (edited) This is a good pic showing the overlap. See when Han leans over the control panel under the td you see the corner of the belt lift. I think the reason why it's hard to spot normally is because the td covers it. Lupex[TK] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Does it matter which side the overlap is? Quote
firebladejedi[TK] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 No they are seen going both ways on screen. Ooh er… Quote
Lupex[TK] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 No they are seen going both ways on screen. Ooh er… So there isn't a preferred method? Quote
SW1 Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 So there isn't a preferred method? As FBJ has pointed out Craig they can overlap to the left or the right, its your prefrance to what you like i have mine overlap to the left , thats because iam left handed and i feel i can tighten the back of the belt better on my own but i still have to get someone to put my TD on for me;) Quote
SW1 Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Thanks guys. Your most welcome Craig , FBJ centenley knows his stuff , we are all here to help each other Troopers helping Troopers thats whats it about Quote
TK-4510[501st] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 (edited) I know its not accurate but I always attached my TD with rivets and large washers to the belt. I had to estimate where the center would be when the belt was on but it always turned out fine and looked great Edited October 22, 2010 by TK-4510 Quote
Quebectrooper Posted October 22, 2010 Author Report Posted October 22, 2010 Firebladejedi doesn't know this cause he has an FX kit with the plastic belt ! Quote
Rich330[TK] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Firebladejedi doesn't know this cause he has an FX kit with the plastic belt ! You think you're joking, don't you! I don't know what belt he has but I think the only 501st approved armour he has currently is indeed an FX with FX helmet. Quote

firebladejedi[TK] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 I downgraded to a plastic belt and black ab buttons. And FYI my tube stripes are straight Quote
carbonitekid Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 I downgraded to a plastic belt and black ab buttons. And FYI my tube stripes are straight I hope they are black to so you match so many of our american cousins. Quote
Rich330[TK] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 If you want to go really accurate, you have to paint random bits of your armour black anyway. It's 100% authentic. I've seen it on a real ANH suit! Quote
Rich330[TK] Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 and whats wrong with that Sir Richard Nothing. Just telling it like it is! Quote
SW1 Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Nothing. Just telling it like it is! Yer what is it with the black on the origanal suit, i see that perhaps the person was trying to turn it in to vader:lol: Quote
