New eye lens for WDW

We are going to replace the perforated plastic eye lenses on the Disney Stormtrooper helmets. What is the accurate color and shape for the eye lens in ROTJ and ANH?

green plastic. The ROTJ helmets had bubble lenses, ANH had flat lenses for the so-called "stunt" helmets and also bubble lenses on the hero lids (as worn by Luke and Han). They were all green.

ROTJ had mainly green bubble lenses and flat lenses for some of the Endor Stormtroopers. For ANH the stunt helmets had flat green lenses and green bubble lenses for the Hero helmets.

I believe everyone here will tell you that you want to keep the lens flat. Although the bubble lens in the HERO Helmet looks neat, as Luke said. " I can't see a thing out of this helmet."

 

Go with the stunt green flat lens and you will see just fine.

I am thinking of cutting the lenses out of a piece of #4 welding shield visor. Nice green but not too dark. How does that sound?

A lot of people use the welding material. It's definitely green from the inside but it looks dark on the outside and flash photography won't show your eyes which is a good thing.
