I have had the opportunity to build a set of TM 1mm superflex ABS.not only is the suit the correct guage plastic to the original screen used suits in ANH,it also has the correct strapping system.

Thanks to Pauls achieve pitures the suit has been constructed as close as posible to the costume used in the film.

The first lot of pictures are from the outside of the suit,it will show the snaps used and also the screw positions for the internal straps.

First off the torso.

For a second I forgot where I was and I thought "I don't care what this costs ... I'm going to talk to the owner, and find out what size this kit is ... ".

Whew ... Thank goodness it's not a sale thread as I enjoy being married.

Awesome Looking Kit!!!

You're not kidding mate B)

I have not only had chance to see this BEAUTIFUL work of art in person but even

had chance to wear it.

Nothing, and I repeat NOTHING will ever come close to emulating the real thing as much as this set of armour. This suit literally leaves you speachless :o

Peter,

For ABS, it looks quite matt in the finish. How did you "dirty" the armour to such a great finish?

Also, are the screws on the bottom lip of the chest for a suspender system to go over the shoulders and attach to the back?

Looks awesome in every sense of the word mate - can't wait to see you in it which will only make it better.

I love the "eye and hook" solution at the back of the shins.

But I can't figure out te function of the six screws on the chest.... I'd like to see the "correct" strapping sytem one day..

interesting pic, thanks for sharing- This all will help us make highly accurate suits -

A quick observation: the 3 strips of elastic seems to be riveted with 2 pop rivets each (instead of 1 jeans rivet) and insted of the cheast screws there seem to be pop rivets aswell
