NoVATie[Admin] Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 If you don't have black showing through then you shouldn't need to add side plates. The shims are only needed if you've got black showing, and furthermore, I think that's only an EIB requirement. Quote
usul45 Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 Yea I think its only EIB, but I also think it looks a little better for us beefy troops. Quote
Spaar[TK] Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) I don`t think that`s av problem at all. You don`t need to cut them back. In my case my ab and back plate overlap too and it was absolutely no problem to get EIB. If you want to look: ----- So not even for EIB you have to cut them back. Im not absolutely serious but if you look at pictures of Stormtroopers in the Star Wars films their plates overlap too. These actors were quite skinny guys. R2Dan[TK] Posted July 28, 2010 Report Posted July 28, 2010 I think you mean you're not certain - not being serious has a slightly different meaning Ideally the abdomen and kidney plates meet so you can connect them properly - Overlap is much better than black showing though and shouldn't affect EIB status as far as I know Quote
