speaker in drop box anyone?

Drilling holes in the back of the boxes and installing a speaker inside.

As long as they look like plain old drop boxes from the front and any wiring is properly concealed, it should be OK.

I'm sure it would work and yes, as long as you cannot see wires or holes in the drop boxes it will pass EIB.

 

You'll hate it later when people are laughing at you because the sound is coming out of your crotch. I got it all the time when my speakers were down there. Never again.

I concur, The sound needs to come from up high, I had my speaker in a Grappling hook box but people kept looking around my back side, I now have my system in my chest, Aeker amp, Rom effects, running on a 9 volt,super loud and sits in there nice, plus I can get to the volume if I need to, lasts at least 4 to 5 hrs.
