Quebectrooper Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Hi guys. I changed my FX thighs and i know i've seen this somewhere but can't find it in the search: How to cut and attach the belt on the lower right thigh ? I got my dremel and pop rivet in hand with a coffee waithing ! Thanks. Quote
ObiHahn[TK] Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 (edited) Cut the "ammo belt" thingie so that it is rounded towards the bottom back (like 1/4 of a circle). Bend it with heat (hair dryer, or heat gun) to follow the front curve of the bottom thigh opening, then attach with one rivet per side, left and right. Like this: ------------ Easy as that. Or were you thinking of something else? Edited June 29, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
Quebectrooper Posted June 16, 2010 Author Report Posted June 16, 2010 Dennis your country is beautiful! That's a great picture thanks i'll follow it. Isn't your ammo belt a little large? I trimmed mine a little shorter its 6 centimetres. Quote
pandatrooper[TK] Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Here's how you can bend it if you want even bends across the battery packs http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=8757 http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=10434&st=20&p=137831entry137831 Make sure to use 1/8 inch wide, 1/4 inch long rivets (1/8 inch might be too short, depending on your armor thickness), and a washer inside the back of the rivet to prevent it from pulling out. Now that you say it...I might trim some more excess off the bottom, the top might be a little harder with it being riveted to the thigh already. 6cm sounds a little narrow though. But I'm sure it's different in between all the armor versions/makes. Quote
Eric Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 if by chance it craccks/breaks in between two of the boxes (like mine did) here's what i did. turned out great in my opinion. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=10766&st=0&p=135030entry135030 Quote
