ok people...

I've been trying to get the search feature to work.

I use many different terms and NOTHING.

no results returned.

I remember when the search feature was the most important part of finding details

around here?

what happened?

ive noticed that also, i find my self sifting through the posts one by one to find what i am looking for

but i use this method sometimes and it works better for me most of the time

i use google advanced search, just type whitearmor.net into the "Search within a site or domain"box

http://www.google.co...ed_search?hl=en

i tested with the terms you were searching for and it had a few results ( don't know if its exactly what your looking for though) you can narrow it down by using exact phrases also

search2.jpg

this is what do anyway :D it gets much better results imho, you can also use the exact phrase box to search for genral topics like just ATA,TM,AP ect...

i know its a pain but hey,, it works ;) and search spellchecker is a bonus

it has nothing to do with my browser. it's the search feature that's not working.

yeah... I guess I could google search... but that's just not why I posted here.

it's not my browser... I have tried EVERY browser available.

thanks mark.. I have the thread by looking up the member, and finding his posts.

the search on this site still does not work.

I tried "No results found for 'riveting neckseal how to'."

I'll agree the standard search can be wonky, but it's a bit of a black box.

What I did was go to advanced search, look for HOWTO in the title only, and set author to riveting.

If the search does a default AND and riveting is not in the body or title of the thread, you'll not find anything as riveting is the author.

didn't the search terms work differently in the past?

were there changes to reduce redundant results?

i noticed since the new imperial academy site was updated that my google trick no longer works as good either :(. it is trying to search the new site as well as the forums (since they share a domain). also it searches old outated sale threads... im no expert but would think it is a indexing issue, but from what i remember those can be very hard to fix

if the site was indexed again and the listings preened it would be a great help.

I could look into indexing and going over the results.

I'm interested in helping out if I can.
