RBJ[501st] Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 ..I HATE the shims on my shins...so when I realized I need some more room in the fore arm, I had to come up with an alternative. The forearms fit OK , but when my muscle flexed (like reaching uo to take off my helmet) they were to tight and pinched against my bicepts..I got this idea from the split shin shots in ANH...I found a glossy paint tray ( its very thin and glossy) and fastened a strip on the inside ( held with tape for now..I'll come up with something better..) and removed the velcro except for the bottom..now at rest my forearms are closed, but when I reach up they flex open and the glossy paint tray material keeps any black from showing through..sorry for the lame pics...hopefully you get the idea! Dirty White Boy[501st] Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 Nice idea. Funny isn't it how a costume made for a few hours of filming really won't work in the real world so we have to rack our brains out to find an answer?! Please let us know how this works out for you! Quote
Butah Fett Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 I know some guys who use "For Sale" signs inside out as shims. Quote
Exodus[TK] Posted June 12, 2007 Report Posted June 12, 2007 Another option, a white plastic paint can (the big ones) Quote
RBJ[501st] Posted June 13, 2007 Author Report Posted June 13, 2007 ..I went to the store for a "for sale" sign, but then I saw the paint trays...WAY glossier!!! Quote
