unheard Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) so many different storm troopers helmets please tell me which is the most screen accurate ? Also if you have the helmet. please can you tell me the Height, Width, and Depth. please can someone post measurements please. so that people can understand how pepakura measures things. It the farthest away points of Height, Width, and Depth that are measured. when measuring please just put a ruler in front of the piece and check the number. please don't use a flex able ruler. thank you. sskunky Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 That would be a TE,TE2, TM or a Gino for the time being I should imagine. Quote
ObiHahn[TK] Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 so many different storm troopers helmets please tell me which is the most screen accurate ? Well, with the ANH stunt/hero difference, the ESB and ROTJ versions and the way each individual movie helmet was assembled in slightly different ways (higher/lower brows, differently cut out holes for eyes and frowns, different ear trimming), it's not really possible to say which version would be the stormtrooper helmet. Stormtroopers aren't as standardized as people tend to see them. Which version are you trying to replicate? That would be a more realistic approach, methinks. Quote
Runnriottt Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 None. Not even the screen worn ones are accurate. LFL Recast themselves. There. I said it. I am sure however that you will have bunches of other opinions. Best Fan made? Of the 9 I have owned... TE2 for Linage. TM for Look. Quote
unheard Posted April 20, 2010 Author Report Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) forgot to say this my friend's work all thanks goes to him. I would like to scale the helmet to a TE2. but i know this maybe hard but looking photo which verison does it looking to you ? ANH ESB and ROTJ versions ? but I think its a anh. ----------- Edited February 1, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
TK-7980 Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Looks like he has a mostly ANH look going on, with ESB/ANH hybrid hand plates. For the armor, is he working from an FX reference? Quote
unheard Posted April 20, 2010 Author Report Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) Looks like he has a mostly ANH look going on, with ESB/ANH hybrid hand plates. For the armor, is he working from an FX reference? just found out " the storm trooper used was efx helmet as a reference, except It was made symmetrical for an easier build. I guess if you have warping issues, it may come out pretty accurate and The helmet is my work from scratch, the armor is edited (a lot, it was high poly) to work better in pepakura." so scale of the helmet was guessed. armor could be fx I don't know any idea how i could get the scale/size for the armor ? thank you for your help Edited April 20, 2010 by unheard Quote
ABS80 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 That would be a TE,TE2, TM or a Gino for the time being I should imagine. Definetely go with a TE lineage helmet, TM is a fan sculpt. Mark Quote
JoeR Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 As much as I despise the guy the GINO V2 is the most accurate in my opinion. Joe Quote
unheard Posted May 6, 2010 Author Report Posted May 6, 2010 (edited) this photo is the same stormtrooper helmet pepakura file. I haven't made this yet this, this is my friends build. but it should look the same when done. ------------ what do you think ? Rolf[501st] Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 (edited) I guess a ANH stunt Gino helmet would be the most accurate, if you could get one. Cheers Edited May 7, 2010 by TD-252 Quote
