  1. Your ammo belt should be narrower. See how the width is in line with the top and bottom of the ammo boxes on the original belt compared to yours? If you want to paint the buttons now and not damage them, simply put masking tape over them when they are dry and remove it when you are ready to troop
  2. When using Humbrol paints you should stir it thoroughly before using. I have used this paint for years and never have any problems with it. I only need one coat and never need to put multiple layers on when painting. Give it agood stir to mix up any thick paint that sits at the bottom of the tin and you should have no problems. Even mix it half way through painting if you see the paint in the tin starting to change colour slightly or going streaky.
  3. You can buy mock neck full body unitards for kids from most dance wear stores.
  4. Those look great! Much better than this guys boots -----------
  5. Well, it only had to look good for a few takes when filming, not for hours on end while trooping. We do not know if the boots needed constantly touching up during takes or not. It would not bother me if I had to keep touching then up after each troop if hat is what it takes but I can see it would bother others. Like I said before, each to their own and my way is screen accuracy all the way!
  6. I fully understand what you are saying. I know the majority of our members are not hardcore fans and know very little of the original movie suits, and have to rely on the CRL's for their information.
  7. I don't know why you keep quoting this information?
  8. From my experience in this hobby there are sereval types of people who only want certain things from their armour. The guys who want TK Boots are the type who just want white boots to go with their armour for trooping and not bothered about accuracy. Not everyone wants to go the whole hog and be like the troopers in the movies and are happy to just look like a Stormtrooper. Only hardcore fans will go to the trouble of painting black boots white and the casual fans are happy with white TK Boots.
  9. Congratulations! You wear the armour very well. The gap on the sides is minimal and I am very pleased that you have passed inspection. Well done Trooper
  10. If you have long arms and want to use bicep hooks, simply make the shoulder bell strap that goes around your bicep longer to allow the bicep to hang lower.
  11. Better get a move on if you want it ready for MEM! Good to see a nice placement of the rivets for once. You have them spot on Keep cracking on the way you are and you should have no problems with clearance. Just don't take too long about it
  12. Snowtrooper kits coming soon!

  13. 3.5mm x 25mm or 9/64 x 1" slotted countersunk brass machine screws
  14. Beautiful work as always
  15. Ah, cool. I was worried you might be left with black lines all over your armour and happy to hear that will not be the case
  16. Agreed! Get the edges sanded and cut off the return edge at the wrist before you glue the cover strips on. Make sure you check the marking inside to get parts matched up correctly. L-L and R-R And I hope that pen is not permanent. A pencil might be a better choice to do the marking.
  17. Thanks. When will the original shoulder bells be shown?
  18. It is a hero. Gino, were the original shins assembled with the joining strips on the wrong sides or was that a mistake on the EFX prototype? *edit* Nice photos, Anthony! Thanks for sharing
  19. ATA parts are not adjustable like TM parts. You can make TM parts as narrow or as wide as you need since they do not have the moulded in joining strips which restrict sizing. Strapping the forearm and bicep together so they are hinged close together stops them sliding around
  20. What Matthias means is to trim the back joint to size (both halves) and have the front with the flat edge standard 15mm wide. Trim the front first and keep it 15mm and then overlap the back joint to see how much you need to trim. Do not have the forearms tight and try to keep them tapering from wide at the elbow to narrow at the wrist. Whatever you do, do not use a heat gun. You will never need to use one on TM armour. The bicep halves just need overlapping and trim half way so both parts are about the same size.
  21. Probably because you have never really looked hard at original armour.
  22. Ya'll want armor? Hey, see the Master, Jack!

  23. GF or early AP. The dome shape is an easy tell.
  24. 1" white elastic for the drop boxes.
