Yes, the Snowtrooper armour will be coming soon. I am 95% done with the moulds now so it won't be long before I can offer them and maybe soft parts too
Congratulations on becoming TK-74210
All your effort and hard work has paid off. If you need any specific help modifying the biceps or any other part, just send me a PM and I will be happy to go into detail.
That is the good thing about E6000. It will hold really well but you can remove parts with a bit of force. And the bestthing it leave no marks where it was.
Glad to be able to help you out. I have said it time and time again, the original way of strapping the armour together is the best way and I am glad you decided to go for it.
Trim the parts to their largest size and tape together to see how they fit. Then overlap the two halves if they are too big and tighten them until they are comfortable. They do not want to be tight fitting. Keep them loose so they do not restrict your movement.
Send me a PM if you are having specific problems and I will tell you what to do.
That is a trait of the original strapping and I would not go altering it.
There is a good reason for that
Looking awesome, Brian. Don't be afraid to give your belt a trim now and then. It will stop fraying eventually, so a quick trim in the mean time will sort it out.
Good luck with your application

The Stelmax glue is great for gluing the elastic to your armour. You can even peel the elastic off your armour with a bit of force if you needed to. Pulling ABS apart might be a bit more tricky though!
I know mate. Kevin still asked for the accurate glue and I guess he is going for the 70's strapping which works better than any other method
I fail to see how humidity will damage quality elastic. But I have no experience with such conditions living in England. Sometimes it when it gets really hot we can walk around without our coats on
For the bicep to forearms, mark half way across the inner forearm and glue your 2" strap to inside of this mark so your strap is more towards the front edge of the forearm. The front edge of the strap now wants to line up with the edge of the bicep joining strip. This should make the parts slightly off centre which is how they were done originally and will make bending your arms easier.
Looking good
Keep the shoulder bells up tight to your shoulder straps. You can make it so they go inside your shoulder strap slightly and they will pull out a bit if you use the bicep hooks to hold the arms up.
I usually leave about an inch between the chest and back tabs over your shoulder, but it may be more or less in your case. You may find that the armour does not hang from your shoulders so this measurement is not crucial. Just make sure it does not choke you and go with whatever is comfortable.
Just ask if you are sure about any strapping and I will tell you the best way to go
One thing that many people forget to do is glue the drop box strap to their belt once it is in place. As Matthias said, have the end of your drop box lined up with the end of your belt and glue the looping strap in place so it stays put and you will have no problems. And best of all, that is the screen accurate way
The screen accurate way is the possible way to assemble your armour. You guys must be using the cheapest possible elastic known to man if it has to be replaced after several troops. Quality elastic will last a lifetime, not a few troops.
I believe Kevin wants to know the screen accurate glue for the straps and I have always used Stelmax 1985, so stop offering suggestions for other options which I am sure he is aware of. This always happens on here. I do not know why everyone wants to go for easy options when it comes to building armour. The oringinal way is the best as long as your armour is made from the right kind of plastic.
If you need help getting the Stelmax, send me a PM and I can get some for you
Gluing the straps is the way to go. You will not be able to take the torso apart easily if you go with the brackets anyway so you can glue the shoulder strap. The arms slide inside the legs so you can glue those straps too.
Tape parts together to see how they feel and then glue the straps in place. The screen accurate way of building and strapping armour is the best way in my opinion.
I would use the brackets. Seems a waste of time installing them if you are not going to use them. If you choose not to, then remove them and leave the screws in place as the brackets will just get in the way.
The original gloves are Marigold type washing up gloves and not the heavy NBC chemical gloves. Take a look at Hans gloves here and you see they are Marigold with the textured grips.

Yes, this is new ABS. Well, I have been using it for about a year now but it is better compared to the old stuff I used from my old supplier. This one has better colour, much glossier, and very flexible. Best ABS for armour in my opinion
Looks awesome!
The TM ABS looks to be a good match to the RS ABS. Not sure what they look like in reality but you cannot tell the difference looking at them in the photos. The whole set up looks great and I love the weathering.
Great job
