  1. 7 split rivets 8mm cap x 6mm legs - 6 on left side of waist and 1 on crotch 7 single cap rivets 7mm cap x 9mm stem - 2 on the thigh ammo strap, 1 on each drop box elastic and 3 on the belt. Use M4 brass washers with the split rivets and nothing else needed with the cap rivets
  2. About 1980 Seriously, John's suit was made well before ROTJ so don't go copying anything if you want to make an ROTJ replica. The strapping is totally different inside but he plastic armour components are virtually the same. It's the helmet that differs the most. The shape is different as is the interior. If you want to build a good suit, use movie screen caps or photos of real armour. CRL's are a good base to work from but not very accurate in my opinion.
  3. Congratulations, Rowan Good to see another ESB trooper in the ranks!
  4. Congratulations on Centurion, Takashi
  5. Vacuum forming grade PVC is very different to that of PVC pipes
  6. I've never seen anything like that before. Nice work!
  7. I have a pair in US9 narrow and I wear a UK10 and they are huge on me. I wear a pair of slippers inside to compensate but I could with a US6 with liners. I know a UK supplier if you need help.
  8. I've never said any ABS I use yellows. If anyone has armour from me that has yellowed, I'd like to hear about it because none of my armour I've owned for years has ever yellowed.
  9. A) 1" black elastic 1" black elastic C) 2" black elastic D) 1" white elastic E) 3" black elastic Can't edit emoticon
  10. Armour with butt snap.
  11. It's the same as on ANH suits but the strap is glued inside the cod instead of riveted and it's fixed to a single snap on the butt plate.
  12. The hook closure works extremely well on 1.5mm ABS armour as Mathias says.
  13. These are great photos, Todd. Thank you so much for sharing Did you notice what the colours of the ab buttons were? Were they all the same or did they have any other colours? (Hard to tell the colour from the photos) Could you tell if the boots were painted white or were they white leather? And the shoulder bell straps, could you see if they were glued to the Velcro under the bridges or was there a snap there?
  14. Original ANH bolts are brass M3.5 x 25mm countersunk slotted machine screws and M3.5mm x 16mm
  15. Would you say it was a standard snap riveted to the shoulder bridge and snapped to the chest of can you see a 15mm snap head on the outside of the shoulder bridge?
  16. Looking forward to seeing much more of this armour. Please take lots of photos Interesting about the snap. All ROTJ armour I have seen have a rivet on the front and Velcro on the back.
  17. I make some XL shins that are 17" long that might be of interest to you?
  18. Finally got the correct fixings and found accurate webbing.
  19. The shoulder bridges were riveted to the chest only and Velcro on the back. John's suit is not ROTJ. It's an ESB MKII made prior to ROTJ.
  20. Are you taking about replica costumes or the original costumes?
  21. How's this for sitting down? TM 1.5mm ABS armour with original ANH strapping = no cracks.
