  1. Like I said "or cast of it" It has all the tells of AP and not RS/Anovos.
  2. That is an AP or a cast of it. Definitely not Anovos.
  3. He lives very close to me but I would need an address or phone number to check on him.
  4. I have the ROTJ trim available if you are still looking? -----------
  5. There is TM ROTJ too. TM. CFO.
  6. Excuse my ignorance but what exactly is the purpose of the metal plate?
  7. The adjustable chest straps look a lot like these:
  8. If those are the strips that came with the kit, the flat section should be 75mm long and the rest curved around the tube. It looks like you didn't curve the strip long enough.
  9. The holster was designed to carry the DH-17 blaster used by the Imperial Navy.
  10. I think you have the connection of the second holster wrong. It looks as though it is simply looped onto the belt as it was supposed to be worm on the Imperial Fleet Troopers belt. Good job spotting it
  11. If there was enough interest in this costume, I would consider sculpting and making the shin guards. I already offer full ROTJ kits so I could provide the shin guards with a full kit or individually. As a side note, I can offer full kits in red ABS too
  12. I was waiting for that response. I got the same message the last time I commented in this thread. The blind leading the blind. Over and out! Move along......
  13. In all my years of vacuum forming ABS I have never had to manhandle the plastic as seen in the clip. They also have wire across the plastic to try to somehow reduce the webbing. It looks like a really amateurish attempt at vacuum forming and not very professional. The form suffered webbing on the forehead so that piece was trash. The shape of the forming tool is very weird as well. And I am not referring to the actual trooper helmet - it's the rest of it that is very strange' to say the least. I would have thought with guys like MonCal and KW on the team who know a thing or two about vacuum forming, things would be better. I would be embarrassed to show that video and I am surprised they did.
  14. Very poor effort if you ask me. See the webbing on the front?
  15. Fantastic work, Kevin! Great job on the kids suits. They look awesome. Well done Did you make the helmets too?
  16. I doubt they would crack after fitting if put on correctly. The caps are formed on the same size pipe so it's a guaranteed fit. The only reason they are tight is the plastic shrinks slightly as it cools, so heating them up makes them expand which makes them easier to fit on. We are talking microns with the shrinkage, not millimetres
  17. After you have chamfered the edge of the tube, you should gently warm up the end caps with a heat gun or hair dryer. Hold the heat gun several inches away from the end cap and wave it side to side so you don't heat up one spot, while turning the end cap. Two turns usually does the trick. Have the end cap upside down and your tube ready to fit straight away and they pop right in. Make sure to drill a breather hole under where the detonator plate will go so relieve any back pressure.
  18. Looking awesome, Caleb! Seeing the armour on you really brings it to life and looks so much better than it did when I was building it for you. I am pleased that you are so happy with it The ROTJ is a great set of armour. I understand not everyone likes it and that could be down to the kits that have been available in the past. This armour is completely different to any other and is more accurate to original armour not only in shape, but assembly too. No doubled up parts. No badly fitting parts. No heat bending required. This is as good as it gets for ROTJ fans (until a screen used suit gets cast and the chances of that are very slim) Thanks for sharing your photos
  19. My kids armour is an identical copy of the original ANH Stormtrooper in every way, shape and form, only smaller. It is more accurate than just about all adult kits when it comes to details and should surpass all 501st requirements.
  20. ABS forms equally as well as HIPS or Styrene but it is not as easy form using a vacuum cleaner like most hobbyists use to form plastics.
  21. Any particular reason for those measurements? Only asking because they may interfere with your belt fixings if you did not check first. I like to keep the distance from the vertical strips to the snaps the same on both sides (about 40mm) and I have the 20mm up from the lower ridge. The main ammo belt is not fixed central on the abdomen and the centre of the belt should line up with the centre of the abdomen button pate - not the cod strip. Just a friendly tip there
  22. Good advice from both Germain and Mathias. Get the arms assembled first before you trim anything. Once they are strapped and assembled they will feel much better. Having the forearm strapped up close to the bicep reduces the length it hangs down so you may not need to trim. But if you do, trim the wrist end and maybe the inner curve of the forearm.
  23. Awesome! Congratulations
  24. What is the size of your thigh muscles? My thigh armour fits up to about 61cms (24") before you need to use bigger joining strips.
  25. I have my set of used armour that I would sell you. I am 6' 190lbs but it would fit anyone a few inches either way. PM me if you want more details.
