  1. The CRL's are wrong and should be corrected. ESB armour is assembled exactly the same way as ANH because they are essentially ANH suits refurbished and reused for ESB Not sure what you're having problems with? If you have the strap attached to the bottom of the bell and another one from the bell to the biceps, you should be fine. Who made your armour?
  2. It should have exactly the same strapping as an ANH. You must have assembled it incorrectly to begin with so add the strap at the lower end of the bell. I don't know why people think ESB armour is any different to ANH?
  3. Do not cut it. Put the trim on as is and you are building it properly regardless of any CRL's.
  4. The tube stripes should be sloping forward slightly at the top. The decals or templates are made a certain way and they have been applied to the wrong side in this case. While they may not affect any applications of EIB or Centurion, it is advisable to do things correctly so others do not follow your mistakes. Even some armour makers are selling assembled helmets with the tube stripes upside down without realising the mistake.
  5. Lucas Film Limited aka the original props
  6. Get some of these if you want a clean finish.
  7. Looking good, Manny! Is the helmet fully painted white over khaki? If so, which brand of white paint did you use? Good luck with your application
  8. Congratulations! Looks like you passed with flying colours. Well done
  9. Only use the original LFL costumes for reference and you cannot go wrong
  10. The straps should be attached like this: Not like this:
  11. Ammo strap is riveted on in the wrong place. What reference material did you use? E6000 inside the edging trim. Tape in place and leave to dry. Job done
  12. What is the difference? Seriously, if you go and sculpt your own armour from photos then you are making your own armour regardless of the photo references available. Your moulds did not touch the inside of another armour kit and that is recasting - making moulds from existing parts. Scratch building armour from photos is not stealing (unless you want to go down the legal copyright road).
  13. WRONG! There is a huge difference between copying/replicating something and recasting it. You need to learn the difference!
  14. You have them assembled correctly.
  15. I have the exact material used for the LFL belts. PM me if you want a piece.
  16. None really. You clamp the knee plate in place and rivet it to the shin. It will naturally fall away like it does on the original armour.
  17. I don't see a problem with Centurion, but not gluing the knee plate actually helps it from catching on the thigh armour because it is hinged away from the shin slightly.
  18. Gluing the Velcro to the calves is easier before you assemble and glue the parts together Remember to use the reference photos I sent you for the knee plate.
  19. PM me if you are looking for an ROTJ kit
  20. Invest in some strong neodymium magnets
  21. Looking good so far Don't try to be too exact with the measurements. Some of the overlaps may not be entirely straight so the widths can vary slightly. A small return edge is allowed on the wrists of the ROTJ armour. I personally trim it off because I have quite big hands and wear XL gloves, but I leave the return on the ridge detail just to give the illusion of a return edge. Looking forward to more updates soon
  22. The fact is that the shins are not labelled correctly and I know enough about armour to be able to tell which side is which. It's annoying when the least modified parts that should be on the outside are being made to be worn on the inside, giving a knock-kneed appearance. What's worse is that the kit does not come with the correct inner halves but instead the RS modified halves which makes them look much worse (from an accuracy standpoint). I know the originals were less than perfect but that does not alter the fact that Anovos labelled them incorrectly and you assembled them incorrectly. Ever since I tried to offer you help with your build, knowing that there will be lots of people following you building these kits thus helping them too, you was always quick to dismiss my suggestions because it went against your method. I have been building armour for 15+ years and I know every trick in the book. I tried to help you and the rest of the people building these kits. Sorry for that!
  23. Brian sculpted the armour on a life-size human statue and the parts were shaped to compliment the human anatomy. Remember that the Anovos is not cast from an original (no drama please) and does not have the correct inner parts to make up the shins properly. If they did, you see a totally different look and feel to them compared to what they managed to produce. I tried to explain the shins were labelled incorrectly but someone who thinks he knows better convinced the masses I was wrong.
