  1. You came to the right place to buy and build your own armor, but I think you will be very hard pressed to find anyone that rents their suit out. As I'm sure you've seen, people put a lot of time and money into their suits and I don't think they would let just anyone borrow them.
  2. Very cool! And just in time for Halloween.
  3. Great job!
  4. If you're really pressed for time/money you can check Walmart's camping section for table cloth clasps. They're fairly easy to bend into the right shape.
  5. Looks like the paint went on pretty thick, try multiple lighter coats next time. I'd do like Mason suggested and wait for it to dry before trying to scrape it off.
  6. Some people also use pinstriping tape to get the black outline around the ears.
  7. From the troopers I tried, only Paul's picture did not come up. Are there others that don't show up for you?
  8. Funny how "weird" the mirrored helmet pictures look.
  9. HIPS is high impact polystyrene - a type of plastic. It's thin compared to ABS, which most suits are made of, but since you shouldn't be bumping your helmet around on things, it's fine for buckets. The thinner plastic also shows more detail than a thicker plastic. You want to avoid this seller because he is recasting AP parts. AP is a seller here and you should support him instead of supporting the guy ripping him off.
  10. The weathering job is fantastic. What's your techique(s)?
  11. Great looking helmet
  12. You might also be able to find a tinted visor for a football helmet on ebay for cheap. Motorcycle visors are kind of expensive to just cut up for lenses.
  13. Great pics! How tall is that Vader?
  14. See if this tutorial from the reception center helps you out: ----------
  15. Pull the cod closer to your body. You might have to run some tape as a temporary crotch strap. See if that brings the two body armor halves into better alignment, then you will be able to tell if you need to shim.
  16. Ugh. Noooooo is right haha.
  17. Already got you in your ESB approval thread, Dave. Check your title
