  1. The easiest for me and I build quite a bit of these, I first glue all the cover strips on all the outer leg and arm parts let dry then glue in the inner parts using strong earth magnets to hold in place and also use tape in areas to avoid part from sliding around while glue sets, the right thigh is a bit more of a challenge because the raised lip is quite crooked, that is why I glue cover strip on the outer right thigh first, just align cover strip at top and bottom don't pay attention to the crooked raised lip which will be hidden by the cover strip. I have seen many people start by gluing both halves togheter by using a inner strip first then glue on the outside cover strip, I actually do the opposite which i find I have more control for adjustments. 2. Oh I see Mark (AP)
  3. just trim were its marked, you can see the mold line on every piece. Mark (AP)
  4. you can trim off the last rear big tab on the shoulder straps, the movie original didn't have it i just did my straps much longer for bigger trooper. Mark
  5. Red line is the max you can remove, if you remove more the kidney plate won't line up, so orange or red your safe. Mark (AP)
  6. Luc explained it perfectly, the low resolution photos makes it look like the ammo is part of thigh making the cut out on the right thigh look bigger than the left. Mark (AP)
  7. Its the thigh ammo part that gives the illusion that more material is trimmed off since the thigh ammo is sitting lower giving the illusion of a bigger cut out arch, the correct way is to trim off without going over the raised lip.
  8. Thank you for choosing AP! Avoid nail polish remover it contains acetone which will ruin plastic finish, better use model paint thinner instead. Happy building! Mark (AP)
  9. You trimmed way too much material on the lower back of thigh, I don't think this will be approved! Please study carefully photos of movie suits or look at the many builds going on here for refference or just ask before trimming anything your not sure as we are here to help. The front leg strips is way wide it should be 2 cm max, you need to trim each side of thigh raised ridge to 1 cm on each side to accomodate the 2 cm cover strip Mark (AP)
  10. Great job congratulations!!!!! Mark (AP)
  11. For the gauge press or rub down the raised area of the gauge using a smooth plastic/wood piece then wet sand area using 1500 grit then polish to bring back shine using novus or any car polishing compound, Lucky you that area will be covered 95% by the shoulder strap. Mark (AP)
  12. The problem is he cut too much off the sides of the AB plate reducing its height, the max you can trim off the AB is 2" from the edge, whatever extra material you need trim or leave do it on the kidney plate. Mark (AP)
  13. You will look great, I have tons of customers your height it will fits nicely! remember not all 6.1" have the same proportions, some have a longer neck some shorter legs, long torso ect... BTW you were not suppose to get 2 sets of hand guards LOL! Again thank you for choosing AP! Mark (AP)
  14. You can actually trim off the rear big tab of the shoulder straps, the original didnt have any, I just added those as a extention. Mark (AP)

  17. Yes satin black for the vocoder and mic tips Mark (AP)
  18. I do one heavy coat and work fast so the paint will self level and dry to a nice smooth finish with no brush marks, but for that the paint has to have a certain concistancy and not too liquidy, my vocoders people think its masked and airbrushed on its so smooth looking, I guess my many years of model building experience paid off lol! 19. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions! Mark (AP)

  24. Great job so far! Like the original movie helmets the back end of the right ear has more of a gap because of its weird shape, but you did a great job eliminating that gap Mark (AP)
