  1. I love it!!!!
  2. Wow! thats a great idea!
  3. Nah...its pretty black and white. Make the corrections and your done. They are minor and are really just quick fix and adjustments. I applied for EIB a few years ago and was denied because of blaster only, IIRC. Unfortunately I sold the armor after that!! Its not abig deal. There is a STANDARD and we all need to be the same.
  4. need me to send you come AB button decals?? You look awesome man!!
  5. Having already experienced the sanding and filling of a TE2 I can tell you that it IS possible but it IS alot of work. I made a HERO bucket for Paul out of a TE2 a few years ago and I sanded, filled, primered, repeat, over and over and over again...
  6. TM makes a nice lid as does AP.
  7. Here's some Ive built or owned over the years Pauls "Heroized" Han replica TE2-
  8. I have done my best to notify the people who would approve my actions. It appears that I have Tony's approval. The chain of command (Paul) has known my plans for months. I also am bringing this to the table for you (everyone) now. I ask for your support. I only want to provide legitimate American accurate ABS armor to the troops. I think we should all put this BS behind us as Joe says. I put it all behind me a while ago. The armors lineage is watered down (thank you TE). To me its open format. ATA, PT, VAJ TE2, TE, CAP, CAP-W, and a whole slew of others are making this armor. Mine will be slightly different though. The chest will be different. I am modifying one of the biceps to actually fit. The ab plate and buttons will be more accurate. The shoulder bells will be deeper. The upper thighs are getting a resculpt. The cheesy belt is totally the wrong size and it getting re designed. The Thermal Detonator is getting resculpted. I will be providing accurate decals and paints, canvas belts and straps. Flexible dark lens. Frown mesh. British brow trim and accurate neck "s" trim. The whole 9 yards. This (for me) will be THE armor.
  9. I am leaning toward 80. I may purchase some 40 and see how it looks and feels too.
  10. 80 maybe 70
  11. My garage IS Star Wars. and a Camaro...
  12. Thanks guys. I dunno what I should call it. I am just tired of AP, TE, CAP, FX, etc... Something cool Maybe you guys have some ideas?? This armor will be very special to me and I want to do the absolute best I can do with it. Its a huge undertaking. When its complete it will be as unique as I can make it. I have always had a problem with some of the parts and I am going to re do those first. I haven't set a price. It wont be $350.00 and it wont be $1500.00. I will try to make the price as equitable as possible. The only thing I DO know for sure is that I will offer it in stages. You can buy just the plastic or add on all the way up to as much as I can offer. I think it would be cool to have the entire package available. Yes, I have been discussing this with Paul and a few others for months now and its finally time to tell everyone. I wasn't completely sure that I wanted to go the armor route. Its alot of work and with my decals and accessories I didn't know if it would be something I would be able to commit to. But I decided to do this and do it as well as I can. I will sell the helmets and armor together or separate. I will also sell parts if need be.
  13. Thanks for the positive encouragement everyone. I will post pics soon. I am not sure what I will name my armor, but it wont be anything with initials.
  14. As you already know, I make alot of stuff for trooping. Over the years I have contributed to the community my builds and even played a part in TE2's helmet runs. So I think I have established myself and my reputation. When Chris Peters was making armor I obtained a set and have held onto it all this time. a year ago I began wondering if I should recast the CAP armor and start offering my own version but in ABS. So I began building my vacuum table and started making the molds. I am about 30% done with the recast of the CAP armor and I am reworking many components as original sculpts so there will be a clear separation between my armor and the other makers. I hope to offer the armor by late January. It will come as a kit and will include many of the accessories I have been selling on my site. I will be updating this thread with pictures of my sculpts and finished product as the project continues. I am passionate about accuracy and I hope my new armor reflects that.
  15. awesome AA video THE man making THE armor - SICK
  16. Looks pretty awesome I must admit. I know you would never abuse it that much, and it should be pretty light too. how about the helmet. is it also in 1mm/.040 ABS?
  17. Yeah, what does he think of the armor, is it suitable for trooping? I notice that there are white creases in the folded ABS too.
  18. What do you think of the .040/1mm ABS?? Is it too thin for trooping???
  19. What do you think of the .040/1mm ABS?? Is it too thin for trooping???
  20. I'd go AP and wait for someone to sell their used set.
  21. Awesome job!!! I wanna see the muppets though
