  1. I’ll see if I can shift it a little. Thanks for the Sugru tips!
  2. Also installed the Ab/kidney split rivets. Hope this looks good! I’m using them just for aesthetic purposes and not for strapping. That being said they are a little loose and slide back and forward a bit. Any tips for securing them if they aren’t holding elastic down? Thanks!
  3. I also had a question about the Sugru. I ended up putting some spare abs under the bottom of the thighs as I followed the RS line propmasters build videos. I managed to remove most of the extra e6000 on the other end of the spare abs piece. Would I still be able to put the Sugru in the gap to make it more flush?
  4. Sniper knee trimmed out! Probably going to glue the front part tonight or tomorrow.
  5. Thanks! I re-marked the rivets 10mm from where I trimmed instead. I also did the same thing with the kidney plate and it seems to line up well. Let me know what you I think!
  6. Awesome! Thanks guys! Did some measuring and made some pencil marks. I marked 10mm from the ridge on the ab piece and drew lines there. Would that be correct or is it supposed to be 10mm from where I trimmed? Thanks!
  7. Just wondering if anyone had the diagram for the placement of the ab/kidney split rivets? I know they supposed to be 10mm from the edge but was wondering if there is a measurement from the top and bottom of the top and bottom rivets?
  8. Trimmed the bottom of the shins and it looks pretty good. Since the RS kit has identical shins I tried to trim them both to have the outer part a the shin a tad longer. Hope this looks alright! The right shin Front: Back: The left shin Front: Back: Still have to do the back cover strip for the left shin as I had to trim more to make it take shape. Thanks!
  9. just checking in to see if this looks like a good trim line for the inside of the bottom of the right shin.
  10. Will do! A little elbow grease should clean it up!
  11. Applied the new tube stripe decals that are the hand painted looking versions. I also installed a more durable lenses for the eyes courtesy of @magni! Going to install mesh behind the frown tomorrow. I also wanted to double check the pencil mark for the cod piece as I may trim it down more for comfort.
  12. That would be awesome! I’m pretty sure I can swing that. I’ll message you via the local garrison forums!
  13. thank you! I think that might work nicely as the old hole drilled into the bottom of the thigh should be covered once the old hole on the ammo belt is covered with abs paste.
  14. I made some more straps with snaps today that are smaller to use for the kidney and butt plates. I had a quick question, how would I know the strap is too big or too small when fitting and how close should they be to each other? Just enough to show no gap?
  15. Thanks! I definitely should have worked on the placement a little more before riveting. I’ll definitely remember to keep that in mind when working on another kit or I’ll see if there are any fixes I can work on right now.
  16. Thanks! I’ll try that right away!
  17. Thanks! I’ll make sure to check now to see if there are any fixes. I definitely should have referenced images again! Got a little to comfortable just jumping in haha.
  18. Back photos of knee ammo belt
  19. Got the knee ammo belt on! I’ll probably tackle the sugru on the other knee soon, while I work on the belt and strapping.
  20. How tight are the closed capped rivets on the ammo belt on the thigh supposed to be? I just hammered one on and noticed that it’s definitely on there but seems a little bit loose. Thanks!
  21. Thanks! I’d love to build another so I’ll make sure to keep that in mind. I definitely went a little crazy with sanding the edges round haha
  22. Trimmed out ammo belt for the right thigh
  23. I see what you mean. So it helps if the snaps on either end of the elastic are a little closer for the kidney plate to the back and kidney to butt plate? And then I could use the longer ones for the kidney plate around the hips to the bottom front of the torso
  24. Mocked up how I might glue the snaps and straps on. I’ll probably space them out a little further than in the photo below, but just wanted to check to see if this looks good. I also wanted to ask, since I’m not drilling holes into the return edge for the classic strapping method, should I trim the return edges more or leave them as is? I was also wondering, even though I’m using snaps and elastics, should I be putting screws or rivets in for aesthetic purposes? Thanks for all the help y’all!
