  1. Congratulations. Your submission photos are inspiring for my upcoming EIB submission. Really good stuff.
  2. Thank you, that's a lot to chew on, but very helpful!
  3. Congrats. Great looking kit and photos. Do you have any links or info on your wizardry here? I see your strapping system link, but these edges seem to diverge from what's on that page. I'd like to add some of this before I submit for EIB. Thank you!
  4. TBH, I avoid sewing whenever I can. I can either e6000 them in place or I'll just make up a big bag of them and replace as needed.
  5. Great, thank you for the pic. I have a giant spool of 1/4" so I should be set for about 12 years worth of replacements. I am probably going the sewed-in route since they like to disappear frequently.
  6. I keep losing my retainer strap elastic band off of my right shoulder strap since I open that one up to step out of the torso. I see this in the CRL for level 3: Is there any specific required width of that band? I had been provided with something like 1/8" but I have a bunch of 1/4" on hand. Will that approve at any level?
  7. Looking good, nice work!
  8. I have the FAC kit and the neck did seem lopsided to me as well. I've not been able to determine if that's entirely normal or not, the bottom of the chest plate is also most definitely lopsided, but that appears to be accurate to reference photos I've seen. In most photos I have seen, the top of the front neck opening rides high enough that your helmet should cover it.
  9. The photo limit is for images stored on this forum. You need to store your photos elsewhere and link them here. I think imgur.com is the most used place to do so. Create an account and you can upload for free and copy the link and paste it into your posts.
  10. Congrats! I hope to make it to #10 this year as well.
  11. I'm not sure what your schedule is but I ordered from imperialboots and got my shoes in the same month. Probably about 3 weeks. I tried the DIY version and ended up regretting it as the fit wasn't right. So I spent almost as much with my failed ones as if I had just gotten the TKs from IB. The shipping is a bit expensive, but if you want them fast they were great for me. The boots also fit great. If you do go with Imperialboots and you wear a 10.5 size, I would recommend going with size 11. They fit me perfectly and I always wear 10 1/2 shoes.

  15. That was kind of where I was originally headed. I wondered what kind of volume it would produce if your whole chest *became* the speaker. I have the Pyle-Pro 50w Amp on recommendation from the trooperTalk site. It's 50w and pretty loud, but it weights a bit more than the Aker, which I would have gotten in hindsight. (20/20) I am looking into getting the Tramp possibly or one of the other similar versions with built-in static & bursts. Using an iPhone in addition to that speaker is too much for my brain to juggle and having it all integrated would be nice. Do you have any photos of your set up?
  16. I was watching Van Oaks Props youtube today and thought this might be a lightweight & small option to turn your chest plate into a speaker from an external amp. Has anyone tried this?
  17. I also did the rivet thing on accident and had to remove them. A little ABS paste filled the holes right up. I think Sugru might work as well, and be a lot less messy. I took a few photos of the backs of my shin pieces after I added extensions. Left side has shim glued underneath, right side same thing but overlapping. Velcro extends the full width of the extended parts + the overlap on the original shin. Hope this is useful information!
  18. I just spent a fair bit of time struggling with this problem. I'd be curious to see a photo of the back seam and how much overlap you have. I had to do a couple of things because my shins had only about a 1/4" of overlap and the narrow strip velcro just wasn't going to stay put. I did the following: (Bear in mind I have not yet officially trooped, so some of this is subject to change after putting on some miles.) I extended the underneath piece by gluing an extra strip under it. It ends up being a little offset. Then I used a long strip (full length of the shin piece) of non-adhesive velcro and glued it down with e-6000. It ended up extending it to a little over 1/2" and seems to be a lot more stable and allows it enough overlap to catch and hold. I can post a picture if it helps.
  19. I purchased these awhile back and they seem to be good for the price. Not for cold weather, I would think. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B094V8F1LC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R3H83RY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  20. I posted this elsewhere, but it's pretty similar to some of the ideas above. Hopefully useful.
  21. I went through a bunch of Youtube videos and pulled out most of the lines I could get. I find their pre-recorded messages & hand control interesting. But anyway, some of the scenarios might be useful. I'm not the most quick-response talker, so I'm hoping some of these will give me some fuel so I don't end up kicking myself afterwards for a good comeback. There is no organization, but conversations or scenarios are grouped together. Have fun with these. Galaxy’s Edge FO Stormtrooper dialog Let’s calm it down here. { Waits } Good { Response to “Bucketheads” or sarcasm. } Approach. Here. { Pointing for them to stand } Now. Good. Watch that curiosity, citizen. Have you sworn allegiance to the FO? { Response to a sarcastic Question, e.g. We’re friends aren’t we? } That’s a … no. We think the resistance is here. Coincidence? Alright, let’s go. Lead them away. <— “capturing” a I read you command. Affirmative. Confirmed and captured w. guest Negative, prison transport full. There’s an outbound sanitation vessel I have made a decision, you are now free to go. You’re welcome. By whose authority? It’d be a shame to wipe those datapads. Take it easy, citizen. Anyone who poses a threat to the FO. You know, I think we’ll watch you instead. Present your identity card for verification. Ever been to Canto Bight? I heard it’s nice. { Looking at someone’s identification. } We’re supposed to believe that’s you? { Excuse } Sticking with that story. Alright, we’ll find out.. Looks like you’re not the *last* Jedi. (making fun of someone with a lightsaber) If there’s one Jedi left, it’s NOT you. You look familiar. I’ve seen your face before. Take it easy. <— is said a lot. We’ll consider that an oversight. You consider this, a warning We’ve got eyes on you. This outpost is under observation by the FO. The legends are true. (talking about a kid dressed a character, jedi) { To a family with a child } We’re tracking a group of resistance spies. We believe they are disguised as travelers with a young… code breaking prodigy. Interesting… We’ll be in touch. { after "harassing" a citizen } Threat is contained. I have decided to release you. You..are..welcome. Remain compliant, do not endanger the public. I’m keeping my eye on you. Affirmative. Threat is contained. Facial ID Proceed to med shuttle for bioscan to confirm. Procedure is only “semi” invasive. This outpost is under observation by the FO. We’ve been ordered to re-position. <— when they are changing photo locations, or done with their shift The FO recognizes your loyalty. Sorry to interrupt, but we’d like to know what you’re doing on that data pad (phone). { Excuse } That’s a good way to get a data pad wiped. Hello citizen. I believe you were warned about coming back to this sector.. Am I right? Didn’t we warn you to stay away from this sector? Well, you got our attention? Are you trying to get arrested? { Excuse / apology } Good, because that’d be a bad idea. Porgs… I don’t want a pet that can chew through my armor. You, with the imaging unit (camera). Let’s go. { take a picture } Make it quick. We’re on patrol. Ready position (posing). Hold. Proceed with image capture. There is no order without the first order. Using caution when disarming. These resistance fighters have been known to … resist. Stay sharp, this area is crawling with resistance fighters. Command. Sector clear. Returning to base. Back to base. Let’s move Captain Phasma wants any resistance fighters captured, and brought to base. Don’t be alarmed. We are here for your protection. The first order welcomes your allegiance. <— To someone with FO costume/logos displayed.
  22. For trooper/trooper interactions, you can't beat the humor in Jedi: Fallen Order. The imperials have a lot of dialog that could probably be compiled to a good list. (Putting that on my Todos). Here is a good collection:
  23. Congrats. I wish I would have known this when I started. Took me awhile to get over the fear of cutting to fit vs. trying to color in the lines. Looks great
  24. Welcome, welcome. I love the Phasma armor. I've seen it at Disney World and it's a sight to behold. Good luck with your build.
