This TIE brought a tear to my eye! Please welcome for the second time, TK-66744 to the Stormtrooper Hall of Fame, December 2023! @Morgi Troop log can be found here. Congrats on the 2nd award Luca! Amazing turnout and it must have been incredible to see this one up close! Other HOF recipients can be found here. With Unquestioned Loyalty Jonatan Östling TK-23592 "Nairy" Curator Hall Of Fame -
I had to shorten my torso a bit because I have slightly longer legs than upper body! So I had a full commission, with the original strapping put in place, which meant that the chest-to-ab connection is strong and doesn't let the chest overlap the abs at all, so what I had to do was to create new strapping to allow the chest to overlap the abs! Before: After: Is your upper body longer than your legs? Have you ever asked yourself that question before?

This was my reaction when I got the call!

Congratulations Joseph!!! Can't wait to get started! -
Hello Hanson! Being 6" is very common, and with your weight I think you'll get it to fit you in a nice way with shims! I'm 6" (with shims) and for me the biggest thing was that the gap between the thigh and shins was a little bit large due to my long legs. What I did there was to just velcro the shins to sit a tiny bit higher on my boots to meet up with the thighs! Sometimes I put them too high if I haven't got a spotter with me, but that is the good thing about velcro, just do it again! I think you get the gist! But you'll get there when you get there, first off - THERMAL DATONATOR!

I really loved it! It made me incredibly pumped of going out in Stormtrooper armor and take the vibe of the video out with me on a troop! I don't know why exactly, but I love the way this feels like we are being taught at the Stormtrooper Academy! I'm sitting here like a hype-man when you said the two words "Move, and along" I was like "THAT'S RIGHT!! MOVE!" If you had a mic and speakers in your helmet, that would be very cool and immersive! Also make sure that you are centered in the frame! I have used my phone for my videos and I think with the back camera (not selfie camera) you can get really good quality results! Although you'd need to have a piece of tape or something on the ground so that you'd for sure be in good position in the frame! If you don't have a green screen or the means to get something like that - I like this monotone grey background! You could in an easy way create a Death Star corridor wall with plywood or whatever and spray it grey and have a pattern like that as a background! Or if not, maybe try to stretch out the fabric! Awesome video idea and series and I'd watch every one!

Congratulations!!! Lovely to see!!

Possible future Death Trooper from Central Garrison
Nairy replied to BrianWeckerly's topic in New Member Introductions
Hello Brian, or should I say "Braaiiiinnnnnn"! Great to have you here and that you have decided to get this particular costume! We don't see them too often! You have a cool take on it to not expose any skin, it would make it very versatile, I hope your GML would accept something like that! -
Hello Ted and welcome! Great to have you here! When you say "basic trooper kit", do you mean that you want to get the A New Hope kit perhaps? The hardest part in this hobby is usually when you have to decide what kit you want!

I'd really like that too, but the only ones filming were the parents so we couldn't get ahold of any videos sadly! -

42. 2024-01-13, Örebro Universitetssjukhus (Örebro University Hospital), Örebro (Hero) The first troop of the year! First off, what a year 2023 has been! Never in a million years did I think I would do 32 troops, and it has taken its toll on the armor, with lots of cracks suddenly appearing and needing to be tended to, and with me losing weight, I have to shorten my shims and polish up some bits of the armor to keep it as pristine as possible! The yearly event where we "dance out Christmas" (directly translated to English from the Swedish phrase) together with children who either has or has survived cancer! We perform old traditional Christmassy dances as a good bye to Christmas and "plunder" the tree of ornaments! Events like this really reminds oneself of why we do this and what an incredible impact we have in peoples lives.
