For those of you using the tabs to keep the buttplate from riding up, why the placement of the tabs towards the outer edges and not on either side of the center elastic?

Thanks all! Still figuring this whole place out haha I did figure out how to subscribe to threads though. it’s been about a decade since I’ve been on a forum of any sort so it’s coming back slowwwwwly -
Greetings from southern USA! I’ve done a lot of things in life. Building drag cars, raced motorcycles, flew planes, graduated college, taught others in self defense, free climbed, competed in bodybuilding, became a personal trainer, sold surplus military gear and nvg’s, mentored teens, married to an amazing woman and two lovely kiddos to name a few…….so much in under 40 years but this is up there with those as well. It’s just cool and a dream for a long time that I didn’t even know was possible until a year ago. you lot seem like a top notch crew to serve with. Thank you for the welcome and knowledge!

This is a cool build! -
Definitely worth parting with your money on a vetted seller. im incredibly thankful I was directed to this website from research before purchasing. I’d probably have ended up with a rubies, eBay, or jedirobe kit otherwise……and either have a terrible kit or have no kit and no money.

Gotcha thank you, I’ve spent most of the day shoring things up and bending things to fit better as well. I decreased the curve of my shoulder straps to lift that up a bit and will possibly shorten my front elastics and lengthen the rear ones on the chest piece/back plate which may also bring my shoulder bells forward a bit
-
So the bottom of the backplate should line up with the top of the kidney plate?
-
Thanks for those tips sir, some of those are areas I’ve wondered about. I will continue to piddle on this thing yet haha. i feel my structure definitely works against me but some of those tips will help for sure.

Thanks! The shoulders have definitely been an area of annoyance. I think I’ll try swapping my straps between the biceps and the shoulders to see if that helps the overall fitment of things.

Brother yes thank you sir

My Imgur app only gives me the link text I can’t insert that into the [/img] brackets for some reason. this is why not having a laptop sucks sometimes

Hey y’all! Think I’ve got this thing good enough for this approval process. RWA produced kit Georgia garrison 5’9” https://imgur.com/a/EOrhuYu[/img] ….once I figure out how to imbed

You won’t be disappointed. I had him pop me a kit together and post it to the states and it’s great work. I went with the 2mm abs. Arrived within a few days of shipping as well. Nothing but good things to say about RWA from my experience.

Thank you! Taking my hobbies seriously . I did mull this decision over quite a bit before jumping into it. hoping to have my final fitting done in the next two weeks. Need to cut down my thighs and add inside cover strips to everything. Also going to add some extra snaps to the shoulders and biceps so they don’t fall. New correct boots be here by the middle of next week. still want to eventually get some fans and comm stuff in the helmet over time.

That or 2x 3m tape as a shim between them worked well on mine if you can’t wait for the E6k to dry -
Gah I had to laugh at myself, I just realized today that I’ve had my biceps and forearms on the wrong side something in the back of my mind kept popping up about it lol. fitted the other bicep last night and letting it cure then cutting them both down to a wearable length. still need to add extra snaps to shoulders and biceps for security. I’ve come into knowledge of polystyrene at hobby lobby as well so bicep hooks are made and thinking about edge trim to strengthen edges on shoulder bells and torso armor…..thoughts on this?
