  1. You have some mighty fine looking blasters in you collection there Ralph
  2. Due to the beta max act 2008 it is considered illegal to import replica weapons, and Californian laws outlaw selling to the UK.. I got mine through mainland continental Europe and it came straight in through the door It is probably possible to get one in if painted a stupid colour but the HF is an expensive gamble
  3. I really like the hand painted tube stripes Anyone who has the skill to do those and not use decals deserves mucho kudos...
  4. Yep thats the rubbies shi'te being pumped out, looks like a really bad recast of a don post helmet I think this guy is regularly reported for using the UKG guys without permission, and the guy must be stupid using the SDS stall to boot
  5. Er, coz the powers that be said so! Remember these requirements are not for forum membership or even 501st, they are set as a slightly higher but very easily achieved standard for those interested in helping the 501st push the bar in costume accuracy
  6. It's ok Vern, this is a common question. The decals for the rear traps on the original helmets did not fit all that well, depending on how soft or sharp the hdpe was it is more or less noticible. Let's look at the badged helmet.. This was quiet a nice pull, and as you look at the helmet the right side trap is larger than the left, which is replicated perfectly on the TM, and so the right side decal seems overly small. Again the decals from TK4510 are a perfect match to make the helmet a perfect replica. L
  7. It may work for you, im just going by my experience.. give it a go and see
  8. Any armour i own has to be tough, and built to last some tough activities... Climbing laders..
  9. Hi steve in the helmet department, less is definately more ~ ooh matron! Simple foam padding with plenty of free space to let the air circulate is the order of the day. While your trooping in a hot area ie shopping center or convention center there will be little chance to open your vents and catch a nice breeze as you would while doing 150 on your bike
  10. Your going to be hot in that lid
  11. Pictures are always a good idea in cases like these so we can better assess the situation
  12. <sigh> another item to add to the wish list
  13. Hey guys thanks for the kind words these decals are mikes standard ESB, I have used them on AP, TM, TE2 and my DL helmets all with no bother at all. The decals on the rear traps do not fill them completely but this was a trait found on the original tk helmets
  14. All this talk about fitness has made me tired, i think i will have a little lay down
  15. Armor maker: TM Height: 5'11"3/4 Weight: 215 lbs Chest: 44" Abs: No shims Waist: 36" Thighs: 23" No shims Shins: 18" No shims Biceps: 15 1/2" No shims Forearm: 14" No shims Any other mod? Battle damage, bodge tape, sometimes wear arms on wrong sides, belt upside down, gloves on the wrong hands.. oh wait a minute; you mean other mods to fit in the armour? No
  16. Ok i have had my 2010 TrooperMaster helmet since a little while before xmas 2009, but had yet to take any pics. I was inspired to do a few light modifications after StukaTrooper showcased his dirty ANH TrooperMaster this weekend, so here goes.. The helmet is the new style face plate, ears, back and cap.. in fact i think the whole helmet has been re-worked to some degree, all for the better. Built and assembled by TrooperMaster himself, decals by TK 4510, mic tips by Keith, detailing by fbj and artificial weathering and aging by StukaTrooper
  17. Ok my turn; Current weight : 15 1/4 stone ( 215 lbs? ) 5'11"+ 3/4 Goal weight : not too fussed, need to loose big beer gut Dietry habbits : love junk food ( keebab, pizza etc ) drink several beers several times a week. Prefer to eat bacon and egg rolls for breaky. Dietry goal : cerial for breaky, cut down on junk food and miss beer for a month. Excersise habbits : drive everywhere, mainly static job, train in ju-jitsu 3 times a week. Excersise goal : cycle to work at least 4 days a week ( 3 miles each way ) started today. May swap 1 ju-jitsu session for judo once a week and carry on ju-jitsu twice a week. Recent picture of me in armour from weekend of 1st May :
  18. I do this detailing with a pen but I have seen others use black detailing tape around the ear. Do whichever you are comfortable with.
  19. Nate im in the same boat as you.. i weight in at just over 15 stone ( 210-215 lbs? ) and need to shift some weight. I was called fatty yesterday at an event ( all in jest ) i think the push bike is coming out to loose those extra pounds. But if you want to keep fit and loose weight, one word - Judo. Last year i took up Judo once a week and within 6 weeks my beer belly fell off. But since then ive been back on the beer and pies and need to start again.. Incidentally i stopped Judo and went back to Ju-Jitsu but the workout is not the same and the weight loss is no where near the same hence why i need to cycle to work, lol.. Good luck with the diet
