  1. On an FX kit or similar i would say cut it to give more flexiblilty so you can take part in more tricky activities such as abseiling.. But on a more accurate kit i would say leave it as you will loose the right look, i dont have my cod cut and i can move around in armour pretty easily..
  2. please let the answer be stormtrooper
  3. Although you are not overly tall, at 200 pounds you may struggle to fit into AP armour... Before you spend any money and regret it try to get in touch with local troopers in your garrison and look at what kit they have and see what may suit you best.
  4. Yep google hyperfirm and he is a member here also, try searching for hyperfirm in the junkyard here as he has some for sale atm...
  5. Warning! Do not do business with T*E aka Matt Gauthier - delivery may take months or years. Warning! I finally received my 2010 _ _ Rotj helmets after a nine month wait. I hope anyone else still waiting for anything will shortly receive their goods also. Anyway i only wanted an ABS helmet to add to my collection and it turns out the 2 kits i actually got are styrene. They have been completely finished off by _ _ and he has started by painting them both in a biscuit colour, to match the off white colour of the helmets used in Rotj. They are also finished using green bubble lens and the decals are printed on paper with the black deatiling stripes all hand cut and stuck on top of the paper decals. Very accurate if just a little bit messy.. The ears are hand painted also along with the frown and vocoder and you see one helmet has been finished with a set of keiths hovi mic tips and the other has none. Not sure whether to add the metal hovi or leave them with the resin version?
  6. Cool i left the lowerest hook off deliberately so it does not get in the way of my boots ~ and went with black as i thought it would blend better with the dark undersuit when the shins open up.. But i am willing to alter these to white if thats * cough ~ clears throat * 'screen accurate'
  7. Star shaped foam does the trick.
  8. Well i know the holes are in the right place so im 33% there... just need to know if the hooks are correct, and how many different ways are there to doing the same action
  9. The hooks are from the fabric store part of sew on hook and eye kit. Simply hand stiched to thin elastic and glued inside the shin
  10. I have been carrying out some armour mods so I thought I would update my thread.. I have added hooks to the back of my shins to keep them closed.

  12. I think you may be using too many words.
  13. This is the thread you are after, the search feature does work but the words you were using were not the right words... http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=4467&st=0&p=57329&fromsearch=1entry57329
  14. Hey Matt well done on completing your TM build Looking great there buddy however i think you need to copy the pictures directly into this thread
  15. Taking a rest When taking a rest, Elstree Studio style, circa 1976 you only need to wear your undersuit, leg armour and boots. Make sure that the thigh armour is held up using an accurate belt and garter system. Lay on your right side with your head supported by a light coloured jumper or pillow and bring your left hand close to you face. The right arm should be tucked tight in close to the body with the hand resting close to the top of yout right thigh. Your legs should be slightly bent with your right leg just in front of your left leg in a relaxed manner. Reference
  16. I had to use 20mm joining stripes on my TE2 arms and they looked ok. Just do whatever you need to make it work.
  17. If thats your first time wearing the armour its not too bad, just some adjustments and fine fitting needed... Here is what i noticed; I dont think the boots will clear due to the extra stitching of the panels, check with your GML. The shoulder straps dont seem to be attached? Glue the front ans free to float at the rear. The shoulder bells need to come up closer to the straps, and lower the biceps. I would remove most of the return edge off the chest plate, there seems to be far too much there. Spin the forearms around so they are in line with the rest of the arm pieces. Trim the O2 tank / thermal detonator it want to be closer to 7-5 inches in total including the end caps. Some general tweaking with the strapping cant go a miss, you will find this out when you get out and troop
