  1. Over the last few weeks i've been working on a new set of stormtrooper armour trying to make this suit accurate in every detail as seen on the original sets of armour seen back in the seventies. With the recent expose of the archive pictures this was possible, and my armour has details included in which up until fairly recently only a few select people knew about. I've even added in damage that was common and some bodged repair work seen on a specific set of armour that can be seen in the SW Holiday Special from 1978. This recent build would not of been possisble without help from TrooperMaster, StukaTrooper, JoeR among others so a big thank you to those people. Take a look at the pictures and i hope you enjoy this project.
  2. In that case how did you attach the plastic part to the canvas belt? If you laid it all flat on the floor to mark out where you'll fit it together the plastic part will be too tight. The way to do it is attach in the centre first, then hold the belt in place and wrap around your body and then mark it at the end and fix one point and then do the same for the other end. This way the plastic part is ever so slightly slack when sitting flat on the floor but sits correctly on the body.
  3. The ammo belt look better with the extra plastic removed. One question-why did you heat up the belt and add those bends in?
  4. As Billy has rightly said, the armour I am copying is a specific set as seen In the Lucas archives and not on screen necessarily. I wanted to give the impression that my armour was well used and beaten up and had some on set repairs and with such a good example recently coming to light I added in those extra details.
  5. I always have a number telling me how many unread pm I have as you can see, and if I click on that my msg open right up there and then. Do you not get this? -------------
  6. Happy birthday Pete
  7. Sweet
  8. With the end of my new armourâ„¢ build nearly there i don't have much to update this thread. I've added the ammo pack to the thigh, glued on the belt rivet covers and painted a few rivet heads white. I've also been doing a little weathering as the SW universe was always meant to look used. More pics to follow
  9. IIRC the London E-11 as you call it, the prop store stated that the u channel was not original to the piece. The only authentic bit about it was the sterling everything else was added by the shop. So the long and short of it is you will not find a screen cap of that blaster anywhere in ESB.
  10. And yet here is Han wearing the more common=========
  11. Why does everyone keep on about hero hand plates? there is no such thing - just type 1 and type 2???
  12. I've already stamped on my new set
  13. My suit is certainly making the most of the recent pictures showing the shocking condition of some of the original suits....
  14. I've seen a good tutorial video recently showing top tips for paint preparation somewhere…
  15. The fluted one is the replacement part, along with the straight forearm.
  16. The missing armour pieces in the TE/TE2 come from a tour suit.
  17. Wow that's some bald patch I like it mate, very nice indeed
  18. To bend what Ian? The ammo belt part will just wrap around the torso by itself, no need to heat anything up.
  19. Double post.
