  1. Absolutely :)its sand-able, flexible, paintable...
  2. While it is possible to cut more teeth into an FX I would leave it with 3
  3. Great tutorial Terry - and the new ATA in abs looks much better too
  4. I took some pictures of the 2 ways i have built kits before - both seem to be accurate
  5. In my opinion the helmets could have been painted white first, and then when they realised the paint wouldnt stick tried red undercoat. Then white top coat over that - that seems feasible Add repaints and touch-ups anything is possible ..
  6. I would love a complete helmet in carbon f - thats on my to-do list
  7. Cool - get on an build armour - and forget about the shoulder bell and bicep armour overlap business already
  8. A lot of troopers wear helmets and armour from different makers - and some match more in colour than others. If its only a small difference i see no problems. You will have to wait and see when it all arrives to be sure..
  9. Yeah i have used the wrong pic
  10. Ok for you all troopers not wanting to use the original strapping system - having the straps multi adjustable makes things a whole lot easier. Sometimes you may need to adjust the chest up or down for various reasons - like if you drank too much beer the night before or if you lost weight. I regularly gain or loose weight from troop to troop.. Anyway here is how i have my set-up. Simple and easy to adjust and very practical. I use 2 inch elastic for the front of the torso - its strong and still haves a lot of give. And notice i am using s spring snaps mounted high in the chest and low down on the ab plate. Have them spaced further apart means that they is a lot of range or adjust-ability - perfect for practicality. Here is the completed strap ready to fit, Now i have the top snapped in place and looped over a 50mm buckle and the lower part threading through and back on itself. This on its own will not hold so i added velcro to the inside which is what makes this multi adjustable and simple. If the strap is not long enough or too long simple pull the strap open and free the velcro adjust and close and they we are - perfect fitting armour. Velcro on inside, 50mm buckle, I added another piece of elastic to hold the end closed and neat and tidy, Fitting in place,
  11. Iirc VT version 1 helmets were AP based, the later VT version 2 are TE2 based.
  12. Come on this is a no brainer - stunts had anything between 6-10 teeth cut out and any garrison being that particular I would ignore..
  13. Awesome pics mate - i love the use of tape on the floor - x marks the spot hey?
  14. I always use elastic - nylon has no give and your armour parts will simply ping off when you move.
  15. I get all my ideas on what to do from reference material freely available..
  16. All your helmet builds are an inspiration Armando and this is no acception I am really looking forward to seeing some comparisons of the the TE and JoeR jedi lids....
  17. From the pic you posted it looks like you have the kidney plate on upside down..
  18. This is nothing short of amazing Rolf - but thats something in which we have come to rely on from you
