  1. Haha yeah they did. The Vader is actually my dad. I did! I’m actually very careful about all the parts (well as careful as a troop allows!) Thanks everyone! I really love the build and it is more comfortable than my sandtrooper with its backpack. I’m actually very pleasantly surprised by it.
  2. Alright! So the last few months have been hectic for me! Got some wedding planning and moved into a new apartment with the fiancé. BUT I did get a moment to make some strapping adjustment prior to a troop yesterday. Got two shots that kinda show how the backpack now rests with tightened internals and some velcro on the back box. @Nairy@gmrhodes13 Given where I have the backplate OII square wedged internally into the pack I don’t think it’s gonna shift much higher unless I trim that itself down. However I got it to cling pretty tightly where it doesn’t droop at an angle or have much gap on the backplate. Thoughts? I know those pics probably aren’t the greatest but it’s what I got at the moment. I also started my first troop log as a TK!
  3. Hey all! Wanted to begin my very first trooping thread! To start: 10/01/23 Madison End Alzheimer’s Walk
  4. Proud to be able to make this request. TK-22540 requesting access! https://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=19353
  5. Unfortunately the brackets are what holds the two boxes together as its own frame. I will be most likely look at the depths today as I finally have a day off
  6. Hey all! just wanted to give a quick update. I haven’t had much free time lately due to the overtime at work… Still looking at how tight I can get the backpack to sit up and whether or not I need velcro or to have an alternate backplate that allows the pack to sit more flush. I also wanted to thank you guys for all the help that you have given me during this build. And with that said I aim to keep making improvements until it’s as good as I can make it. Additionally, I wanted to show how I strapped the backpack. It actually sits like a backpack with full backpack straps that are internalized. The strapping was sandwiched in between two aluminum blocks to provide more stability to the pack itself.
  7. Alriiiight then. I had to go and buy a new butt plate. But here’s the update. What do you guys think? Edges are cut the same way.
  8. Alright so just to elicit some more feedback I did have a question about the white under the armpit area. I know I can reduce it by shifting my parts up and down, but is the idea to not have any white showing from under the black strapping? Because if so I’ll probably have to cut into my plate. I tried to duplicate the stills I have from the show as best as I could. I did notice that the trooper does seem to have white that comes up from under the black strapping, I attached some photos to show it. Additionally with the backpack and buttplate I’m not too sure as to what you guys are referring to. I attached a picture of my butt piece well. Do you guys have any other stills you could send my way that could better demonstrate the points you guys are mentioning? I would appreciate any and all help!
  9. Here are some pics with the green screen, I also took some pics of each of my gear pieces that I will be uploading tomorrow (including the internal strapping for the backpack)
  10. Yup! I can walk as well as I can in my sandy! Sorry for the late response, been really sick lately.
  11. Forgot to show. Drop box belt alignment. EDIT: link not working. Will look at uploading again later tonight or in the morning. https://www.flickr.com/photos/196850510@N05/52812880027/in/dateposted-public/
  12. Aright… made some tweaks. Had to rip the belt and reglue it to get it straight. Also adjusted the “teeth” on the belt to fit the slots. Made some fitting adjustments on top of it!
