  1. Great build! But the hand guards look like recasts of my V2 hand guards
  2. Sorry, dass mit "unter anderem" hab ich übersehen.
  3. Thanks, Mathias! For the record: They're called "Hohlnieten" in German (it took me some time to figure that out)
  4. The more I read, the more I get confused. LOL. What kind of rivets were used on the belt? I'm inclined to say cap/speed rivets, the same as on the ammo pack. What about split rivets? Definately NOT pop rivets. Thanks for the help!
  6. Some of the when stapping brackets were rivited, then the machine screws failed. Oh, there will be more helmets, there will be!
  7. 4 rivets on the helmet, and cap rivets for the ammo pack
  8. "Webdichte"... das war das Wort! Ja, eigentlich schnurzegal. Bin ich mittlerweile auch drauf gekommen. Ich bin halt (leider) eine Perfektionistin. Ich steh auf "prop forgeries".
  10. Sure, for centrion, too. The orginal costmes were mde for people with 1,77 and about 70 kg of weight. So let's face it, most troopers would not fit into them without modifications. As long as the armor is fitted to you and you have all the details right, you can achieve any award.
  11. I have a question about this pic: The female snap of the right shoulder: Is this a plastic snap "plate" or the white shoulder elastic?
  12. Thanks guys! This helps a lot! So I really have to borrow a sewing machine. Edit: Re: shoulder straps, where exactly are the stitches to be made?
  13. Sorry, I can't tell from the pics. I have the following questions: a ) Loops. Like on the thigh elastic, it appears to be just glued. Is that so? b )Folds. Like on the shin elastic. To my eyes, it's just folded over and the the hook is sewn by hand, but the fold is NOT sewn on. The same goes for the shoulder elastic. Make the folds, and then saw the snap. Thanks!
  14. Hast Recht. Warum das Rad neu erfinden?
  15. No worries, it's an old running gag around here.
  16. Authenticity all the way. But please, do not insult peope from Poland!
  17. sealsdirect.co.uk IIRC, the made the original stuff. For the ANH helmets, too
  18. Gibt es eine deutsche Ãœbersetzung? Ich habe keine Ahnung, wonach ich im Laden fragen soll.
  19. Ja, das ergibt Sinn. Danke!
  20. Weiß jemand, was "cord" in diesem Zusammenhang" bedeutet?
  21. https://www.google.at/search?q=site%3Awhitearmor.net+cover+strips&oq=site%3Awhitearmor.net+cover+strips&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.14656j0j4&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8 Generally, you should cut them to your size. The originals varied a lot.
  22. Why don't you grab a nice pair of jodhpur/chelsea boots from your local equestrain shop and pain them yourself?
  23. Why did Bapty cut it in the first place?
