  1. Or find a bottle cap of the same size
  2. Cover the hole from the back with some fabric and CA glue, then put some bondo on the outside. Sand. Paint.
  3. That's the reason in 99,99% of the cases.
  4. What's more interesting is the first pic of the completed armor, which is clearly an RS (I can tell by the flexible hand guards)
  5. Something like that was in the talks just a few days ago...
  6. Dude, the brand Addidas has different models of sneakers why shouldn't there be differnt models of boots by the same maker? And after 35 years there are differnces to be expected. I think you'll find only used ones.
  7. You can always use some foam as padding if the suit is rally too big
  8. I have to repeat myself: Pure awesomeness!
  9. Well, let's not discuss this here. It's all a matter of perspective. (Besides, I'm not a native speaker of english so I don't know any legal vocabulary)
  10. Not worthwile for any trooper. The reason why he can't ship to the US is because he LOST a long and complicated law suit.
  11. Not sure.. The U-shape of the elastic seems a little off and the tip is too pointy. ---------
  12. It's about time, Steve! Thanks for your work, inspiration and dedication!
  13. Simple, but effective. Less is more
  14. Merci beaucoup for doing this! I wanted to write a similar how to for ages, but I didn't find the time. I love the idea with the paper clip! Tis would have saved me some time (and money) years ago!
  15. I guess there can't be a bigger compliment! I forgot: Francisco, I think your pics are the BEST application pics EVER! Do you mind to share some of your tips, besides of being gifted witn enormous talent?
  16. Well, they're not that bad. But since I made that version in 2010, some new details were found (a big thanks to TM), like the knuckle indentions, the sloped thumb part, the tilt, etc. But the armor is great and I hope to own one in the near future. RS, if you're reading this, contact me! I have an offer for you! Oh, Francisco, PM me your postal adress, if you like. I see a package from Austria coming to you....
  17. Awesome! This is the first time a see a close up of the RS hand guards. They look VERY similar to my 2010 version and to the template I posted in the HOW TO section. They're a little off.
  18. Reading the production description, it sounds similar to krylon fusion. I'd say give it a try! You can always paint your garden chair with it.
  19. I went by feeling. I'd start with less acetone, you can always add more. A mustsard like consistency worked best for me
  20. Think you used too much acetone; and not enough ABS, hence the "transparency" Leave the ABS for several hours, and mix thoroughly. You should then get a uniform consistence. After application, let dry for several hours before (wet) sanding. But there always be a little color difference
  21. a ) paint it b ) retrobright------ c ) get a new one d ) convert to sandtrooper best solution: Don't worry about it. The original helmets didn't match the armor.
  22. How did you make the paste?
