  1. Glue with E6000 or just use superglue?
  2. Guys, for the connection between biceps and forearms do you glue directly to the armor or will this stretch over time and need to be replaced? Thinking ahead if I should make this a snap connection in case it needs to be replaced. Also, is elastic better in this joint over webbing? I know its opinions, let me know what has worked for you.
  3. Cover strips with E6000 Made snaps for the posterior, used plastic and spaced it so that the metal does not touch the outside plastic Doubled up the connections
  4. Cutting cover strips, does the strip go even with the top and bottom (where the return starts)? In this picture, does the strip need to go up (also a general question for all the other cover strips) Bottom of bicep
  5. For Walt's stuff, you should join and post in his facebook group (just look up walt's trooper factory), they can answer (and you can search) for answers.
  6. deleted
  7. Is your armor AM?
  8. OK, trial fitting. No cover strips and arms are not glued (in case I need to resize). I think I will need to hot water bath the biceps. If the interior strips are attached via superglue, does that give problems with hot water bath (loosen or become brittle?). Forearms are not attached, so had to hold my arms at an angle. With helmet (not finished as well - got to find more time in the day)
  9. Can you upload the pictures again, some are coming up "missing"?
  10. Bicep hook. Is the correct size 15mm by 150mm?
  11. Awesome Job, very well done. Showing the good with the bad and corrections you have made is very encouraging to other builders. I guess if I ever go R1 I know who to contact As to the gun, do you want electronics in/on it? If you think you will troop a lot, maybe something like a rubber gun so no need to worry about dropping it. You saw my E-11, I have the hyperfirm T-19 that I will be modifying for electronics to get the best of both worlds.
  12. Will there be an opportunity to buy a kit or will it be parts at a time? This is looking awesome by the way!
  13. How many bumps did you put on the front plate?
  14. I don't think it needs to be rivets, but will wait for others to chime in. I permanently closed my boxes
  15. I made mine snaps so I can switch to HWT and back as needed. I also added a little bit of weight to keep them down and not flipping all over the place. In this pic, you can see the back of the snap
  16. Glad to hear you made it to the build night! Question for you, have you had to cut any of the bridges to make the chest and back fit?
  17. great find on the older build and the youtube!
  18. Still plugging away... Helmet
  19. I cut mine at the line, never a fan of the g-string feel when walking with that extra material. With the snaps, they will bow down with the pressure from the front cod and the elastic band pulling. My build, will still trim the outside returns for comfort.
  20. Trooperbay has a great stencil kit https://trooperbay.com/decals/prop-replica-decals/star-wars-props/troopers-tk/abdominal-plate-masking-template My results:
  21. Wait for others to respond, but I think you will want to be able to get a fingers width in front and back (so you can move around). My cuts were not tapered, but parallel and only on the kidney - no cuts on the ab.
  22. Congratulations Jeff!
  23. Nice job Jeff! Already looking forward to your next build
  24. Armor party is on for tomorrow night
  25. For the file lines, how about a paint pen? https://www.amazon.com/Molotow-ONE4ALL-Acrylic-Marker-127-412/dp/B00GOYMHPW/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1528839260&sr=8-11&keywords=black+fine+tip+paint+pen
