  1. Ol betsy has been done for a while, other projects creeped in before I posted pix. I love her. Only peave is wiring and battery placement in the clip, doesnt fit as secure as I'd like with all the wires in the way, plus the clip is rather large but Instill like. Need to weater the lil red spiril things, leaving them red [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. Hey thanks for the info! It is probably just going to sit at home though [emoji2] still have the smaller mag if it comes to that. Sent from my LG-V495 using Tapatalk
  3. Okie dokie! Ol betsy just need the power cylinder cords and the flippin lil clip part, which I still dont know where it goes haha The magazine was modded to be wider so the battery could fit. Still tight. After much fiddling, 4 magnets were installed on the mag. and housing to keep it secure. A new end piece was cut outta styrene and glued on the end. Mess of wires in the housing and barrel. Taped the BlastFX components, the memory card keeps getting undocked since its so jammed. Barely got the bolt piece shoved down the barrel. It was cut outta pvc and an aluminium strip glued to it. The spring fits perfect and even allows for spring action on the end cap when the understock folds and secures. Yay. Fixed the end sight cover.. Stil say it will crack off again haha its too fragile Not too bad for my 1st blaster. I know there are some bolts where there shouldnt be and gaps etc. but I am super happy with it! Was pushin a year on this project. Now I just need a stand [emoji3] I will do another video on our youtube channel after the last pieces are on. Sent from my LG-D415 using Tapatalk
  4. Okay! Ol Besty has her electronics , in place, and working!!! Sooooo relieved! New miniscope is operating perfectly. The switch I accidentally puttied closed is cleared out and working, and the trigger mech. was fixed and reinforced. ADVICE: for the blastfx trigger, if you are installing in any way the 2 wires' shrink wrap bends, just remove the wrap and solder it/glue it. The handle on mine was a tight fit to the bottom of my barrel. I cut out a tunnel for the wires to run along but they still bent too much and as a result it disabled the trigger after I glued everything in place causing th rrumble and trigger not to work... I about died after testing it lol like for real... Luckily, my hubby is familiar with the shrinky tube and its lack of bendability. Shouldnt break again. I soldered each wire after running it through the gun to the clip housing and taped them. The wires ended up being twice as bulky as anticipated and wouldnt all fit in the housing and had to flow out into the barrel. Probably could have cut them a little bit more and not tape? , but it was too nerve wracking! Uggf Really crappy since I worked on getting the spring action and bolt to work now stupid wires are in the way... FML... Oh well compromises Another word of advice running the wires, label them and check that it works periodically after installing pieces. Double check the wires. Unbelieveably helpful they are all different colors. Stripping them was a pain for me , had to replace a couple sections. Also dropped the gun with excitment after the trigger worked again, and busted the stupid end sight cover thing. I have a feeling it will break in the future and the trigger guard thing. So I have to puddy that up. White crayola made the sight pop!! So close to finishing! Sent from my LG-D415 using Tapatalk
  5. Installed the new mini scope display, it actually had another board installed on it, but still got it all to fit. Ran all the wires thru to the magazine and re-wired and soldered them... annnnnd everything works!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never been so nervous in my life... Have the switch on the side of the mag. housing. Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk
  6. Ending up modding the mag. box so the lil clip lines up with the housing and so my fat lil battery fits like a glove [emoji16] very lucky to not crack the plastic very badly! Also have a permanent glue/skin thumbprint on it now. Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk
  7. OMG I knew I should have just scratch built my mag! uggg now I have to mode the latch fer sure after looking at this , since mine doesn't fit in the housing all the way ... What is the green stuff you are using ?
  8. Battery too big (sizewise) for my mag. clip, but will fit just fine in my tie pilot chestbox so not wasted.. got a 3400 mah on the way.. just hope the battery holder works on these weird flat end bats. The Gonk says he has no power issues... Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk
  9. Aw man! I do not like working with electronics ! Yea I sent it back and he had to just replace it .. ka-ching! My husband says I crossed the power wires probably, but I am pretty sure it was the stupid lipo battery. It was puffy... Troopramp said hes blown his share as well haha So now I got the new scope to re-install. Scared the other part will do the same after I glue it up, especially the trigger mech... My china battery finally arrived but is mega huge ! At least I can use it in my mouse droid or tie pilot chestbox. Smaller one coming at end of week so hopefully over the weekend I can get this puppy booted up! Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk
  10. Okie dokie well Spring Break came and went and I was on a hell of a roll. Would have been done guranteed! But... my TRamp mini scope display took a crap.[emoji21] had it all installed glued in the scope and then tested it and nothing. I about cried , worked fine before install. So I mailed it back to dude and maybe he can fix it? If not I will be buying another... blamming it on my 3.7 lipo. It was puffy and putting out over 4 volts now that I diagnosed it... but who knows. I will be trying a lithium ion next.. i sincerely hop it still fits in my magazine otherwise im screwed! So up until then I etching primered, 1 silver coat, 2 flat black coats and then weathered with light sanding. Wasnt getting that chipped look I wanted with the sanding just a bunch o lines, you can still see them. Then did a couple coats of Hammered black. Tried sand weathering again to no avail. Hit it with a light coat of hammered and then used silver run n buff to achieve that silver undertone. Can get carried away with the rub n buff, amazing stuff! For the scope I did a coat of gold and then flat black and hammered. Sanding didnt work so I ordered antique gold rub n buff. Just finished hitting it with that and i'm happy!! Flat black on the grip and half of the counter box. So my goal for the gun was to match the weathering on the real folding stock... I think I hit it pretty good and so happy I dont hate it lol the hammer finish dries heck fast and hecka hard. Still has a lil bit more of a shine than I wanted but we will see... Im sure there was a better technique for weathering than the sanding which I will now look into after the fact lol Now to wait for the battery and new Mini scope and figure out the holder and charger for it... soo close! Trying to think of a name for my sweetie... Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk
  11. Modded the counter with magnets to be able to open up if needed. It is pretty secure. Cut speaker slits. It will house the BlastFX speaker, counter, and selector switch.... for now. Making some alien eyeballs with failed spring attempts for Yuris night next week. Haha Found the correct spring finally on ebay.. 7/8" 3.40 lb spring rate. My last was way to stiff at 30lbs. 12. Practicing paint on the resin folding (not so folding stock) ugg makes me nervous but its lookin pretty good Etching primer, metallic silver, satin black and then hammered black on top seems to be pretty good trying to match the actual folding stock Got some gold for the scope, it was the bronziest I could find, a lil on the light side tho. 13. Longest build I've done to date! Just trying to get it satisfactory .. yours is so detailed its awesome. I keep looking at yours am like man I have to try that Haha.. yea I think I will be happy with the scope now , only made a few unintentional holes lol I am going to hollow out the mag. Housing .. I need to figure out how to secure the mag in there. Yep from swpropman.. totally should have made a styrene 1 ! Didnt consider that! Ug... Trying to figure out your latch thing you built for the mag housing, but I dunno if will work to hold clip in there. Maybe magnets... Planning to pack the same battery you have in there or even 2 and be able to pop it off when they need recharging. The trigger mech was so easy for install it was going over my head just cuz the lil blastfx trigger didnt fit thru the top haha so dumb, its a nice hair trigger The blastfx builders group has saved me for installing the electronics... Now the spring is driving me nuts Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk
  14. Back on the E11. Finished my Monster MSE Droid [emoji16] Soo..... I realized the Shapeways scope insert for the blastfx scope sight didnt have the m38 imprint [emoji58] so, I cut off the inner part and sunk it into the scope so the doopy scope end fits over it. Had to carve and mold a holder for the red and clear lens.. BUT i think it will work! All that to save a few bucks and not reorder the printed one now available uggg Also, got a bigger clip off ebay. Its plastic and hollow so I hope to use it as my battery holder! Also hollowed out the doopy counter box and fabed it to hold the lens i got off ebay. This will also house the blastfx counter. Also to save $ from the nice shapeways box for the blastfx. I think it will work out [emoji16] Got the shapeways trigger hole in the handle. It is supposed to work with the blastfx switch kinda hair trigger like without a spring so we will see. Also drilled a hole down the handle for the rumble mechanism. Getting close to paint time. 15. 10 days off work and noooow I decide to fiddle with something... Was waiting on the electronics but decided to play with the power cylinders [emoji16] found the awesome detailed guide halfway through and had to backstep... just needs some more paint. I have bad luck when painting plastics/resin... maybes its the rustoleum paint primer and one or the temp. orrrr me! Cynlinders came out a lil spotchy. Went with layout A of the different variations identified of capacitors etc. Used a yard sign stick to cut custom capacitors. Printed Metalmite text on some labels and sanded the metal up. Fabbed the capacitor ends from cardboard. Cut screws in half and screwed them in the pre-drilled cylinder holes. Thanks to Tino for the lil red cordy stuff , it adds that touch. Yanked some lil tubey things off the computer parts laying around.. Far from perfect even unfinished but I will take it [emoji108]
