Here is a side by side comparison of the Doopydoos Hengstler and the 3d printed one from shape ways and shadow defense systems forth BlastFX.

Another thing I've done is to clean out the holes on the bottom of the blaster and the folding stock. I am using a screw with shrink wrap over the threads to hold it underneath the barrel. I have a couple small pieces of barrel shaped and flat aluminum for the ejector and i'm about to work on the serial numbers.

I've been working on this blaster off and on for way to long between work, kids, fixing every vehicle I own and of course some trooping. Originally, I had planned to build one strictly off the E-11 blaster reference using a Doopy doo and then another one with electronics. Then my wife says to me "why don't you just build the one you really want?" I am planning on installing the TRamp electronics so my biggest questions I guess is will a functional digital display be satisfactory for EIB / Centurion? Here are some pictures of what I've accomplished so far. I replaced the globs that represent the bolts on the business end. And added a 3d printed front sight. There are a few other things too but I will add them in the coming days.

Welcome Marchy! I too am from the Dune Sea Garrison but down in Tucson. Looks like us storm troopers can't even shoot straight in the forums . I would like to encourage you to go introduce yourself on the Garrison website as well. We're always looking for more TK's! Once your Big Brown Box arrives begin your build thread here on white armor and maybe even on the garrison page. I would also echo the comments to strive for centurion status. I am not there myself but I am working on my blaster which if I did it all correctly should be the only hold up. In fact if you have a bit of lead time on the armor you could be blaster building while you wait.

Welcome Kane! Love that you're already considering going to the other levels of approval.

I hope you started your build thread already cuz check this out!

When I was a kid my uncle would tease me and tell me that my mother, despite not being a terribly religious woman had seriously considered naming me Hesikaya. After many years I asked her about it. Turned out he was right!? Fast forward to the day of the internet and i'm trying to create a cool screen name to use. Every dang one I picked was already taken. So for a good laugh I said to myself I'll bet this one isn't and plugged it in. Lo and behold it wasn't. I've been using it ever since. And most of the time it's available.

Greetings fellow troopers! My kid's school is trying to collect postcards from countries outside the United States for a geography project. The postcards don't need to be 501st related, preferably of something near and dear to the region they are from to help them with their geography. If there's any chance someone would kindly send us some postcards from another country the class would greatly appreciate it. If you can help us out please reply below so we can keep an eye on the mailbox and not duplicate our efforts. The project ends the last day of April 2020. Thank you troopers! Welcome Rob! Which kit did you order? While you got a little time waiting for big brown box day (BBB) go ahead and reach out to your local garrison right now! They may have a meet and greet or an armor party coming up where you can meet them and get a little more hands on time before your build arrives. Also, take a look at the Advanced Tactics page Expert Infantry and Centurion pages so you can see if you want to achieve those levels of screen accuracy. It's way better to start with those goals already in mind so you don't have to re-do or change anything later.

F11d blaster needed!
Hesikaya replied to Sebastian chava6's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
Congrats! I'm still building my E11 for my ANH TK. Good luck! -
We like some confidence around here, even if it may be a Luke version trooper Start your build thread and ask away! Everyone around here is very helpful.

Welcome to the detachment and good luck getting that done!

Welcome Paige! Sadly with our poor eyesight us Stormtroopers do occasionally need wranglers around to keep us safe from obstacles and small children so welcome aboard! I understand Phasma is a pretty intense build from the couple of build threads I've seen and we can always use more. Heck if you get the itch to do some pre-Phasma trooping there are many other costumes you can build to get started. Of course here on FISD we are a little more fond of our troopers.

Gonna take the plunge soon

Welcome JR! To FISD and to the Dune Sea Garrison (very soon i'm sure). Definitely post up a build thread here on FISD. You will get excellent feedback from people who know all about the white armor and if you have any problems there's always someone able to help you out. Just remember to take it slow whenever you come up on anything that makes you scratch your head. -
Welcome aboard Ian! Looks like you're getting loads of great advice so far.

Welcome aboard!

I can attest to the greatness that is Ukswrath's build thread. It took a few months to build mine following his excellent example. Definitely look at what you're going to do a few times before you do it just like if you were being a carpenter. Loads of info on here to study while you wait for your kit to arrive once you order one.

Welcome aboard. There's loads of various costumes to pick from. So when you decide on the one you like do some research on the forums and look to see what work it entails. There are many build threads as well as tips.

Sounds like you’re on your way. Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard Saboshi! Definitely take your time to do your research and save up for what kit you truly want to have. You don't want to have any buyers remorse. You can start looking at some build tips and how to's here: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/79-tutorials-tips-and-howtos/ and check out the feedback folks are getting by looking through the TK pre-approvals https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/193-request-tk-pre-approval/. Additionally if you strive for a more movie accurate set up look around in here for Expert infantry: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/95-expert-infantryman-program/ and even further with Centurion: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/66-fisd-centurion-program/.

First Work Assignment: Find Quality Trooper Outfits
Hesikaya replied to CapnRogo's topic in New Member Introductions
That's a great budget but being an inexperienced builder and needing to make two kits in such a short timeline may be a little rough. There's a wealth of info here depending on which kit you finally decide on. -
Welcome my fellow Garrison mate!
