I just don't wanna pick between my friends is all. That's all. So pleased we didn't have that here this year.
  3. Mine is standard aircraft safety wire. Not sure if that's accurate but it looks pretty close. It gets twisted together, cut so that about 4-5 twists are left, and then bent up and out of the way. There's dedicated tools to twist and cut it, but needle nose pliers work very well. Safety wire CAN be horrible stuff if you've never worked with it. It's rather springy and bounces everywhere. It loves to create puncture wounds. Wear eye protection any time you're handling it.

    Happy February 2nd!
  5. I also had the issue. No emails at all for me, just notifications in the portal.
  6. Oh wow, I didn't realize that was an L2 thing. Very cool! That makes the BS bucket much more accessible. One thing I would highly, HIGHLY recommend is fully painting the bucket so that it matches your armor instead of just spot painting the repair area around the speaker. If it's a different shade of white, the GMLs will likely notice and then start looking more closely at it. They may require more fixes like the brow trim.

(we had spoken before, but it's always wonderful) My second choice for TK ID was the national dex number for Whimsicott with some extra zeroes.

(edit to include the info that...) The right one is the Discord icon just to explain the joke
  9. The brow height also needs to be addressed. It's too high on the BS helmet for basic approval. I'm unsure if the chin area will need to be extended. It really depends on you, your GML, and your photos. The chin on the black series is VERY very shallow and not accurate. It doesn't cover enough of your face/chin in other words. Most who convert the bucket will extend it by about an inch toward your neck and then do new black trim around it.
  10. The chest and abs will want to create a gap on most troopers over 5'10" with Walts armor. You'll need to really strap those two pieces together well to make sure no black appears between them. Cheating the chest down away from your neck a little and letting the crotch strap be a little loose will help as well.
  11. Firstly, this is a FANTASTIC username. Bravo!!! I unfortunately have not great news... WTF armor is pretty small. Even petite troopers usually need to add shims to the side torso area. The shins are enormous, but the rest of the armor is suited for smaller troopers. I've assisted in several WTF builds. BUT!!! Don't get discouraged. Many have taken it to Centurion. You can do it! It's just not the "easy button" of TK builds. Definitely ask for help when things get confusing.

  13. Congratulations to both!!! You guys are a credit to FISD.
  14. This pretty well sums it up. Elastic to make a hinge and strong velcro at the top to keep it closed. It's in the 2nd page of my build thread (in my sig) and THIS might be the link to that post.
  15. There's snaps on mine. Really useful to be honest. I hinged them to hold keys and money. Nice to pop off a box, open it, and pay for ice cream without taking off my helmet.

Sadly, the Meme Squad will be declining, but are honored by the nomination. Perhaps one year in the future...
  17. Just beautiful. I lust after these every time one passes by my FB stream. I have absolutely no need for an ROTJ E11 but will definitely own one of yours someday.

Life got busy and I neglected the meme thread... dang it. and now it's back to work!!! No force chokes! and lastly...
  19. The det is very much the ANH/ESB style one, just squished down in terms of width. The button on the ROTJ is quite different as is the panel below it. And yeah, totally R1 drop boxes on that belt. Long and skinny.
  20. Fantastic reference shots and a very cool build idea! I hope it pans out and we get a new CRL out of this. Bravo for taking it on! The backpack looks quite Sandy-based to me with the little radar dish, toilet plunger thing, and other parts. Is the hose the same CPAP one that Cad Bane uses? Might be worth looking into anyway. The MP40 pouch looks quite non-leather with the ribbing going on. That's pretty awesome because at least currently, the canvas ones are a lot easier to find than leather. Looks to hang off the shoulder vs being attached to the pauldron, which is nice for movement and visibility. The one on my HWT pauldron can get in the way of my chin at times.
  21. If I may offer a humble suggestion - either a mic hidden under your chest or an over the ear mic which many of us use in our buckets anyway. The volume levels were quite low. A green screen with a starry window projected on it might be a pretty awesome backdrop. Just since you mentioned it and were after suggestions. But yeah, great idea! Post a bunch and keep tweaking. You'll have some very engaging ones for classes in short order!
  22. My bucket flew in the cabin with me, along with all batteries (they can no longer be in checked bags and have to be WITH you... so strange). I checked my armor. No damage to anything. I added Tile and Airtag trackers to the bin so I could keep an eye on it and have help finding it regardless of platform. Very very few TKs can sit comfortably long enough to do a whole flight in armor. I'm one of them. I didn't want to put my armor through that, or any of my fellow passengers. I'm a small guy but those seats are even smaller. Just check your armor bin.
  23. Grey cod and belt without the lower taper. Very interesting.
  24. +1 to this. Walts armor is VERRRY small and a good 95% of troopers need to add side shims. The molds seem to be made for the most petite troopers.
