(My GF apparently logged in on my Tapatalk and I didn’t notice before posting lol) I actually started with magnets, seemed like the cleanest way, but they weren’t strong enough, so I switched to the bra hook fiasco. I was worried about that too, but even with the curve, the rod threads through really easily, the blocks are large enough that they stay lined up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

arduino: a cheap board for E11 blaster effects
Toddahhhh replied to skyone's topic in Electronics for Helmets / Blasters
I'm having some issues getting mine to work. I wired everything up into my blaster, but when I turn it on, i get 2 blips from the speaker, my ammo count lights up, 2 of the segments flash, the main led lights up green and flashes blue occasionally. I triple checked my wiring and tried reflashing, still get the same. I figured it was something I did, I had spare parts, so I did a second build on the bench and got same results. I'm assuming something is wrong with the code, was hoping someone knows what's going on or where I should look next. I did my build to 5.0.1 schematics and am using the latest 5 code off the site, pin numbers in the sketch match my wiring, so I assume I have the correct code. -
In the spirit of Darh Aloha's headset mic's thread.

The expensive adapter listed has a male end plug, it would need a female end to work -
Just bought a pair of Gorilla Gloves last night, learned something neat. I colored the white printing with a sharpie (not necessary because guards cover it, but wanted it less obvious) but after a few minutes, the print lifted off the gloves, all peeled completely off. Easiest way is to E-6000 a loop of black elastic, put it on like a bracelet, minus your thumb. A lil Velcro on the top of glove and bottom of guard helps hold it straight, if needed.

I bought a gopher grabber from WalMart for $12 after I suited up, dropped my phone and couldn't reach it. I leave it on top of my armor box when trooping, for others to use as well. Helps with the struggle of grabbing the next piece or shoes to put on when you can't bend down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For a liner, couple options. Can use hardhat webbing, the original foam (bleh) or, as I did, gut a batting helmet. Bought it from a sports resale shop, took the foam pieces out and glued them in my bucket. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Found this article last week, bookmarked it in case I needed it later, I'll share here. https://www.google.com/amp/www.instructables.com/id/Restoring-yellowed-Stormtrooper-armor/%3Famp_page%3Dtrue Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Welcome to the forums. I'm in Midwest Garrison (Illinois), we just had a few armor parties a couple weeks ago, I'm sure there will be another coming up soon. Let me know, I can help hook you up with MWG, if you're interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
