Phew this has been a busy month! Final event for the month was space con and it was a big one! Had some big actors come including Hayden Christen and Ewan McGregor unfortunately I couldn’t afford any of their pictures or autographs so I mostly just hanged out at the 501st booth while everyone else was waiting in line. 14. Light the night! This was a special troop light the night an event hosted by the leukemia & lymphoma society to raising money and bringing awareness to blood cancer and to honor cancer survivors and those that have passed away. We were immediately swarmed for pictures as soon as we put our helmets on but it was heartwarming seeing the amount of people that came up to us smiling, talking to us and taking pictures with us. It’s a little thing but knowing that we can make people smile and forget for even just the moment the seriousness of leukemia is truly touching. Cancer sucks so any little thing we can do to make people smile reminds of why I love being apart of the legion. Also yes I walked the entire thing (about a mile) in my costume with my helmet on at night it was a bit challenging but I survived and had an absolute blast doing it. 13. big Texas Comic comic con 2024 Not a lot of pictures from this event but was still a lot of fun (felt a lot more busy compared to last year). The highlight for me was when some kid asked me for my autograph while I was in full costume so that was fun trying to sign something while barely being able to see haha.
