Same haha, I loved watching the mortar in action. Part of me wants to make a functional mortar tube that actually launches the detonators but..... I have a feeling that would end badly in so many ways.

This picture right here from the thread you linked helps lots with the helmet. I see the indents and everything of the R1 helmet, symmetrical.

I’ve sent a message off to Jimmy asking about his full kit, I eagerly await his reply. The R1 crl will be printed out and put in a binder when I get the chance. That way, easy access when it comes time to build.

Hey all! I've been wanting to do a costume of the Artillery Trooper as seen in Mando season 2, but haven't seen much progress in regards to it. So, I started following the Remnant CRL research thread, along with doing my own research and following screenshots + the Hot Toys model. So I'm happy to say with all that in mind, I'm finally getting the build for this underway, with full knowledge that I will have to likely go back and revise builds, do some things over and make adjustments in the name of getting it right as new details come forward. It'll be an exciting adventure for sure. So to start off, as I said, I've been following the Remnant research thread located here, started by Future Jimmy. Per the discussion, I'm aware that the Remnant Stormtroopers use ANH stunt style helmets over slightly modified ROTK armor. So my decision is to build the armor following the ROTK CRL, with a helmet following the ANH stunt CRL (painted in the Artillery colors though, of course.) Due to the exposed strapping for the bicep to shoulder armor, I'll be attempting to replicate that as well for the build, as seen here. For my shopping list so far, here is as follows: Helmet: AM - Dave's Darkside Depot Armor: Jimmiroquai probably, hope his armor fits me. I ain't small. Gloves: R1 style gloves, in hand. (I think they're from Imperial Boots) Boots: ANH TK boots, need to replace with R1 style boots. Anyone wanna trade? Undersuit: Black scuba suit Neck seal: Some comfy ebay neck seal I bought back in 2017 Pauldron: Trooperbay(?) Backpack: I'll attempt to 3d model and print it. Semi-decent shot of the backpack from the Hot Toys figure. I'll be updating this thread frequently as new I find new things, make observations, and start getting the build ready to go. I'm starting to think I should get those black pouches and just color in the white seams. I looked closer at the in-game pouches and they do indeed seem to be MP40 pouches, they're just not highly detailed. ------------ But upon zooming in and brightening the picture slightly, one can see they clearly have the traditional straps and the slots to hold them in.

I'd try to make my own but I am incredibly inept at sewing of any kind LOL I'll just try to find some, or commission them from someone who knows what they're doing. I'm just trying to get this all done in time for an event I have coming up in October.

The maker only seems to make the black trim in the right size, the gray trim is 12 mm and then they don't even appear to make the white trim in the correct style. Which is bizarre... Oh well, I'll just have to keep looking. I'm waiting to hear back from Dave about getting the bigger AM parts that I require. Aside that, the biceps and wrists are coming along nicely.

Hmm, that thread said to get as close to 10 mm as possible, the stuff I linked is 12 mm. I'll look around a bit more for a US supplier. I looked at that boat website and it appears they don't carry the correct u trim anymore. Figures.

I don't think anyone has the files publicly available for the flamethrower, do they? I looked in the flamethrower forums and everybody made their own from scratch, and the one build I did see that was being 3d printed never got fully updated with an end result.

Here's an image of a test fit with helmet and shoulders on (over a t-shirt.) You'll see what I mean about the shoulders and how they sit.

Well now the bad news that the chest plate and back plate are definitely too small. I trimmed the chest plate properly and test fitted it and the shoulders didn't sit flush with mine and the sides didn't go around my ribs. All the rest I can salvage though. Just the main body parts will need replacing. I'll get in contact with RWA, thanks!

The good news is I actually think that the chest and back plate will be fine for me, especially since the back plate free floats. I'll simply need a new abdomen and and hip plate that's bigger. All the rest I can make to my size.

Just added that detail and reapplied the tube stripe decals so they were correct. I talked to Dave a while ago, he doesn't do the ROTJ armor pieces that I lack. He only does the ANH/ESB. My armor is from Walt, but his is sized for someone way smaller, as is CFO's I believe.

Hey all. I've had a kit lying around for a while, and I've decided to make an Incinerator Trooper with it. I've already got the helmet nearly done, and I have the armor. The only problem is.... the armor is too small. Does anyone know where I can get a bigger chest piece, back plate, abdomen, and butt plate? Everything else should fit me fine but those specific pieces in my kit are way too small and need replacement. Thanks! -------

Finally, big update! The helmet kit has arrived from Dave's Darkside Depot! I'll be starting work on it over the weekend. I'll have to ever so gently reshape the left eye so that they match symmetrically.

Finally, something came! The parts for the custom thermal detonator plate I'll have to make!

Update time! Still no sign of the helmet. I shot Dave a message, see where that's at. Armor still being made. On a seperate note, I broke down and ordered the pauldron. I figured "why not?" So that literally takes care of everything, I'm just waiting for it all to come in.
